This original acrylic painting on canvas was created to depict a surfer intimately caressing the wave face as he is about to get tubed. By touching the face of the wave he feels his way through, controlling his speed and checking his position on the face. The anticipation part is untrue as he only has to wait a second to reap his reward. Somehow, in the tube time seems to be slower than “normal chronological order”. Thus the title to this work. Is’nt it great when you wake up open the door and get that hint of pink in the sky, throw in the right type of cloud and you get that burst of “Photographer Adrenalin” ? This is the result ! Newport Beach is 30 kilometres from Sydney and is one of the many fine beaches that make up Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Easily reachable by car or public transport. Equipment: Nikon D300, Sigma 10-20mm lens , Manfrotto Tripod, no filters just mother nature.
