An iceberg in Antarctica, 2006

This ice berg bumped and ground along the bottom of a glacier for a few thousand years, collected dirt and rocks, before being spat out into the Lemaire Channel, Antarctica.

Who knows what happened here? One minute they were merrily making their way through the ice, the next there is a Penguin suspended in the air. In Penguin terms that was probably the equivalent to a super Penguin!

Quite amazing how the differing iceberg formations come about and their amazing blueness. Taken in the Antarctic Pensinsula in December 2006.

This shot was taken at an old historic whaling station on Deception Island in the Antarctic Peninsula and is a close up of the wonderful rust on this ancient tank.

This shot was taken on Peterman Island in the Antarctic Peninsula. A wonderful way to spend a summers day in Antarctica surrounded by these wonderful creatures with a lense in my hand :) This guy is a Gentoo Penguin.
