Title thanks to my husband… I was stumped and when I asked my husband for a suggestion for the title he said the daisies were natures beauty and shone amongst a gloomy winters day, which to him is the essence of winter. This is one of my favorite pictures. I am passion about this photo because my husband gave me these roses for our 13th Wedding Anniversary. That is why I titled it “Anniversary Roses”.

This painting depicts the five elements, Earth / Water / Air / Sky and / Fire Oil-on-canvas / 36 X 24 inches This inspired poem is by a dear and a departed friend HAFIZ … I want both of us / To start talking about this Great Love As if You, I and the Sun were all married / And living in a tiny room. / Helping each other to cook, / Do the wash, / Weave and sew / Care for our beautiful / Animals. We all leave each morning / To labor on the earth’s field. / No one does not lift a great pack. I am passion about this rose because it’s the most beautiful rose that I have ever seen. This picture make me want to grab it and give it to someone special. This would make a great anniversary or birthday card. Maybe even a Valentine’s day card.

FIRST TIME PUBLISHED / When I looked outside my restaurant in Broome I saw two cowboyheads sitting on the tables outside and I had a strong urge to make some photo’s. I spook to the two men they where from Fitzroy Crossing. They where watching a crowd of Indeginous Aboriginal men and women ‘hanging’ outside in the Plaza. They where waiting for the local liquorshop to open, In Fitzroy is now a ‘ban’ on alcohol, they told me, so Fitzroy Crossing is now a ‘dry’ Community Miss. / Broome, Western Australia. / Today I received an email stating; CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR IMAGE ‘TYPAN’ is one of 55 images from the PEOPLE & PLANET International Photo Competition. to be published in the 2009 People&Planet; Social Justice & Enviroment Diary, which will be published this month in Australia (2009). / We thought that your image was incredible, and it won from a pool of OVER 1000 images from 316 photographers from around the World! / All funds raised by the People&Planet diary go to Australia’s small non profit organisations which are working to promote social-justice and environmental substainability around the world. /

This is my first painting, in oil-on-canvas, prior to this I used to do fashion and fabric design and development for the US and European markets, which was my job… I used to do sketches…, of what the markets used to demand, now I paint for myself…more satisfying… This painting depicts the five elements, Earth / Water / Air / Sky and / Fire (Sunlight here) This is the core of my existence and my life philosophy…. 24X20 inches / oil-on-canvas / hand painted in September 2004, Hayes, England as a birthday gift to myself…xox
