this tee is in response to the “shit happens” tees about the place. there’s a fatalistic apathy out there, a belief that something “bigger” controls the end game that makes me really wonder (in a growly kinda way)! i know the concept of free will is one of those big (and doubtless unwinnable) debates, but come on peoples the least you can do is act as though you are an active agent in your life and that what you do and say matters! [end rant]

global warming is not cool I was reading yesterday… “Twenty-one animal species, including the cheetah, three dolphin families and an Egyptian vulture, were added to the list of those in danger of extinction by a UN conference that ended Friday…” / article link 21 new species face extinction while there are many factors at play here — CO2, obliterated habitat, genetic inbreeding to noise pollution — one thing is clear, humans are uniquely and paradoxically positioned as both perpetrator and saviour. power is not to be squandered.
