Image captured at the Bronx Zoo where they have had much success in breeding the Wolf’s monkey. This shot was taken hand held in low light behind glass. Tripods were not allowed in this area.

This is one of the most beautiful wolves I’ve ever seen. While the white coat suggests arctic wolf, the body structure is Alaskan timber wolf- long legs and body, long snout and huge feet. The intelligence and awareness of wolves is something one has to experience first-hand to truly appreciate. They are magnificent animals whose spirit will never be contaminated by humans. The original painting is done in water mixable oils on 13’‘x15’’ hardboard.

/ Created using soft & medium pastels on black matboard, Bakc Off! depicts a dominant Alpha wolf asserting his position towards a lesser pack member. They say actions speak louder than words and there have certainly been a few occasions when I would’ve welcomed the ability to make this statement in such a powerfully visual way! Creating this piece was extremely cathartic for me and I absolutely love the reaction it provokes in those who see it…must be the rebel in me! Limited Edition Prints available
