I was trying to frame the reflection of the red staircase when this little guy came along and stopped in front of me. This photo was taken at Mishawaka’s Monkey Island in May of 2008.

born almost 2 years ago Bart is one of the many chimps who are cared for at Monkey World Nr Poole in Dorset. Bart is lives at the park with the group known as ‘Paddy’s Group’ along with his mother Susie. Usually the chimps at the park are kept on birth control but it was decided that infants are an important part of chimp society so barts mum was allowed to get pregnent and Bart was born. Taken at Melbourne Zoo, Australia. Colobus Monkeys are found across Africa in a diversity of habitats including primary and secondary deciduous forest, montane forest, lowland swamp, coastal forest, moist savanna and gallery forest. In the past these beautiful monkeys were hunted but now their main threat is habitat destruction. They are classified as endangered.
