  • Watercolour on paper. I’ve scanned this at twice the size and 600dpi so it will have great prints. This is one of my very favourite watercolours and it sold quickly. I knew I’d miss this one which is why I did such a hi res scan.

  • Fantasy – pencil drawing of an imaginary creature by Asia Barsoski

  • Medium-coloured pencil/graphic pen / Here is another drawing from twelve years ago! Boyds Forest Dragon

  • ONE MORNING I OPENED MY CURTAINS TO DISCOVER A DRAGON FLY ON MY WINDOW SCREEN. I THOUGHT THIS WOULD MAKE A NICE SHOT, SO I GRABBED MY CANON DIGITAL REBEL 300D AND HEADED OUT MY FRONT DOOR TO TAKE A PHOTO OF THE DRAGON FLY. BY THE TIME I GOT THERE, MY WOLF DOG, “FOUR SOCKS” HAD JUMPED UP ONTO HIS DESK, THAT IS JUST UNDER MY BEDROOM WINDOW AND STARTED SNIFFING AT THE DRAGON FLY. I COULDN’T RESIST TAKING A SHOT OF THE DRAGON FLY ON THE NOSE OF A WOLF, EVEN IF THERE IS A WINDOW SCREEN SEPERATING THE TWO OF THEM. I HAVE TAKEN THOUSANDS OF PHOTOS IN THE LAST 33 YEARS, BUT THIS HAS BEEN THE COOLEST PHOTO OF THEM ALL. SADLY, ON JUNE 12, 2007, MY “FOUR SOCKS” DIED. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE GOOD TIMES I HAD WITH MY “FOUR SOCKS” AND THIS PHOTO WILL HOLD A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. I ACTUALLY TOOK FOUR SHOTS OF SOCKS AND THE DRAGON FLY. THIS SHOT MADE IT TO THE “NATIONAL EXAMINER” WEEKLY SCANDLE SHEET AND WAS SEEN BY PEOPLE ALL ACROSS THE UNITED STATES. I HAD THREE WOLF DOGS FOR A WHILE, “DEOGEE”, “FOUR SOCKS” AND “SMOKEY FOUR SOCKS”. THEY HAVE ALL PASSED ON TO THE RAINBOW BRIDGE AND ARE WAITING FOR ME TO JOIN THEM. BOB.

  • We just took a family vacation to Queensland and visited Australia Zoo while we were there (if you get the chance, get along to it. Well worth it). Caught this little chap sitting on a fence railing. He is a Water Dragon and is approximately 6 inches long. It had us in stitches! • Dragon is a close-up profile of a seemingly fierce (though in reality quite shy) Water Dragon at the National Botanic Gardens, Canberra. Behind the scenes / These creatures may look fierce but in reality are quite timid. And no, they don’t breath fire! They are quite agile creatures and accomplished swimmers, as this dragon demonstrated when it repeatedly leapt off the rocks into the water from some height. / Canon 1Ds mkIII | EF 100-400mm Artwork / A unique photograph with vivid colour and detail. Available as greeting cards, canvas and fine quality prints. © 2009 A Spence. All Rights Reserved

  • A tribute to that old villain from 80’s videogames and animation, King Koopa.

  • This unique artwork depicts the Norse mythological creature Fenrir (or Fenris), a monstrous wolf creature that was the son of Loki the trickster god and a giantess.
