I created this on the computer, in a program called Painter, if I am remembering correctly. It captures one of my favorite subjects: flying animals. I hope it is enjoyed.

Knocked down by a passing car, this pigeon was lying in the road with people walking past without a second glance. In general, we have become so calous to the meaning of life, and through this image I hope to portray that! HDR process used on three images. Made some adjustments to lighting and selective color. Had to clone a bit to fix up two people that were walking by. This is a baby dove in my backyard. I had watched the mother nest and she laid two eggs. Yesterday I checked again and saw this little one had finally broken out of the shell and decided to say hello. It was a really hard photo to take as the nest is in a hollow. I didn’t want to disturb the baby too much. The depth of field was so difficult but I liked the shot anyway!

Best viewed large This is a selection of images from my recent visit to Cradle Mountain, Tasmania. I stayed in the fabulous Cradle Mountain Lodge, and all of the creatures shown were wild and were right on my doorstep. The shots were taken with a Canon 5D and either a 100-400mm lens (wombats, pademelons, and currawong), a 24-105mm lens (landscape scene), or my 105mm macro lens (lizard feet). This composite was uploaded so that a card can be ordered as a special thankyou to a fabulous booking agent who did us a huge favour!
