To spend an hour with Mountain Gorillas is one of the best wildlife experiences you can ever hope for. They captivate you with their eyes and you become lost in the moment. Your time with them goes so fast you are left just wanting more… / / / Unfortunately, Mountain Gorilla numbers are small, with only approximately 700 left in the wild. The primary threat comes from forest clearance and degradation, as the region’s growing human population struggles to eke out a living. / / I am hopeful ways can be found to control these problems before it is too late. / / (Virunga volcanoes – Rwanda) / >< / / / / / / / / /

For me this is my best photo ever. I was in safari park and it was very difficult for me to watch all these baboons inprisoned and sadness in their eyes was extreme strong. I love animals very much and at my home I have quite a ZOO. I try to do so much for them, to rescue them, if nothing else I feed now so many birds in my yard, this is at least what anybody can do.This image change my way of thinking about us humans very much. I hope this image will move you the way it moved me and force you to do something good for animals. Thank you very much for viewing my work. Xenia!

The unprovoked attack by the knife-wielding monkey required the monk to defend himself with the only means that would save his life – Monkey-style Kung fu!

This friendly chimpanzee offered a friend of mine a hand shake during a visit to the Mendoza zoo in Argentina. I wouldnt recommend shaking hands with chimps though, I believe they are quite strong and could hurt you if they were so inclined. Still, my friend’s folly (thanks Nigel) was my gain in the end. This is one of my favorite images. Hope you like it. Hope it moves you.
