A surrealistic piece I did ages ago. It’s possibly the illustration I’m most proud of. I had put a lot of time and effort developing this style for myself. It borrows aspects of anime movie style illustration from movies such as – Ghost in the shell and Patlabor, aswell as every Hayao Miyazaki film. It was hand drawn. I started with the Geisha then added the other elements separately similarly to how an animator might build up a scene. Detail:

This is an illustration I did of my favorite musician, Chino Moreno. If you don’t know him. He’s the lead singer of the band Deftones. I didn’t have any reason to do this except as a kind of tribute to a person I admire. I left out some of his tattoos. This was done very quickly so there wasn’t much attention to detail. It’s a fairly simple image. I added the red water as more of an experiment. I wanted another elements in the image, but I never got around to it..

Acrylic on canvas I’ve often been amused seeing owners taking their dog(s) out for a walk locally. Sometimes the dogs are so incredibly eager…I wonder who is taking who for a walk. / Here it is a windy day too and things seem to have ‘taken off’!

Acrylic on 200gsm cold-pressed watercolor paper. I had a little bit of fun with this one! =D I was toying around with the 3 Wise Monkeys and the proverb See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil. Al Fresco Cats / Acrylic on canvas / Size: 505mm x 405mm I’m combining three of the loves of my life here – cats, gardens and food. / These two cats resemble a couple of cats I had as a child, Skittle (black and white) and Victor (marmalade). They are just deciding what to eat first, perhaps the cheese…as / there seems no meat available.

my entry for the Social Conscience challenge attempts to highlight a few small issues that really bother me. these are poverty, greed, war, injustice, celebrity worship and the general apathy to the whole situation. I struggled to come up with a design strong enough to match it`s worldly theme, that would still look good on a shirt. I had fun with this one. enjoy.
