To date I have photographed around 250 species of Australian wildlife (including more than 220 species of birds!). All found and photographed in the wild over the last few years. click here to view the list of species Yet I consider myself a novice ‘birder’ and don’t even use binoculars to help me locate species. Recipe: research + petrol + walking + luck! (add in some flies, dust and corrugated roads for good measure) To me there are few things more satisfying than travelling and exploring new places then finding new species to add to my photo collection. Australia has such an amazing variety of wildlife out there! Our travels have included wetlands, coastal areas, mallee scrub, woodland and forests. Day trips or longer trips that can see us camping and ‘roughing it’ for a few days at a time. I love it – each trip is a bit of an adventure. UPDATE In Defense of Animals Applauds Cancellation of Animal Snuff Film Exhibit / But Animal Protection Group Denounces Cancellation of Today’s Public Forum San Francisco, Calif.—In Defense of Animals (IDA), the international animal protection organization based in San Rafael, California, today applauded the cancellation by the San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) of a video exhibit of animals being killed by a sledge hammer. IDA also denounced the cancellation of today’s public forum at SFAI to discuss the creation of animal suffering for “art.” IDA President Elliot M. Katz, DVM stated: “Members of the humane and artistic community were looking forward to the public hearing to express our condemnation of the Art Institute’s giving credibility and acceptability to the work titled, “Don’t Trust Me.” They should never have approved this exhibit in the first place.” Dr. Katz characterized the exhibit, depicting the bludgeoning deaths of tethered animals, as a snuff video. Dr. Katz also stated that “We will not give up until the Art Institute either condemns the exhibit in question, or creates a policy that condemns the creation of animal suffering for videos and/or photographs that pose as works of art.” IDA rejects the notion that the “artist’s” right to free expression includes the commission or requisition of cruelty to animals. “There is undercover video footage that shows animals being slaughtered in abattoirs, the Outdoor Channel shows animals being shot; there is no lack of existing video footage that might have been used to make whatever point it was that this ‘artist’ wanted to make,” argues Katz, adding that musings on the nature of art and the place of animals in society could have been provoked in ways other than a series of sensational, violent stunts. IDA hopes that SFIA will adopt a formal policy against killing of animals specifically for a piece of art. IDA is calling for SFIA to follow the lead of the Chrysler Museum of Art, which will not exhibit or promote the exhibition of art where animals are killed or abused specifically for that piece of art. The San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) has agreed to temporarily suspend a controversial exhibit consisting of video images of six animals being bludgeoned to death with a large sledgehammer. The Institute will hold a public forum on Monday, March 31st at SFAI’s campus to hear criticism of the work. Controversial “artist” Adel Abdessemed will not be present, but the school’s Dean of Academic Affairs, two art professors, and the exhibit’s curator will be. IDA founder and president Dr. Elliot Katz commended SFAI for discontinuing the exhibit, and for holding the public forum. “The Institute’s initial defense that the animals were going to be killed anyway sends a terrible message, not only to the public, but to the next generation of artists,” he noted. “Their official response was at first rather inflexible and defensive. The tacit claims for “autonomy” made by such visual language—staccato forms, lights, movements, and immediate experiences—imbue the work with an instantaneous efficiency that circumvents categorization, making typical moral and cultural constraints seem beside the point. Don’t Trust Me portrays six animals—a sheep, a horse, an ox, a pig, a goat, and a doe—being struck and killed by a hammer. Each killing occurs so quickly that it’s difficult to determine definitively what has happened. Do these incidents represent slaughter or sacrifice? What are their social, cultural, moral, and political implications? My second in a series of interviews that started here / / When I first encountered the work of pinkyjain I knew I had stumbled onto a completely unique, talented and spirited individual. Her creative style is versatile, playful, heartfelt and thought-provoking also. From her funny anthropomorphic animals to her brilliantly detailed and atmospheric vampire series I am always excited and amazed to see her next artwork. I’m sure I am not alone in wanting to thank pinkyjain for all her good deeds on Redbubble and for her inspiring creativity, love and enthusiasm. Thank you, pinkyjain, for being you. So let’s begin the interview…........ / / Pinkyjain, how does being a creative person and pursuing your creativity affect other aspects of your life? / I have one thing in common with John Henry, only that it was a pencil in my hand when i was born, not a hammer. I’ve drawn pictures as long as i can remember. / My biggest crazy ambition is to be published. I don’t know why really, it’s just been my desire when i started getting ideas for illustrating my stories. It isn’t to be rich or famous (sure i like to have money, but i don’t want too much, what a headache that comes with, and i certainly don’t want to be famous, more headaches). But since I’ve been on RB, my art has taken off into a new spin, a lot of it is from my doodles which has been such fun. I’ve doodled all my life, but never really took notice of how they could blossom into a piece of art someone really seems to enjoy. My main goal is still to get published, but doodling has been a breath of fresh air. And since my printer bit the dust several months ago, i can’t print out my query letters for the literary agents (waiting for my friend to research good printers, he has a good idea & sense for such things) so I’m taking a much needed doodling break. This message is inspired by a piece of art created by longball a great artist on Redbubble. IT IS FINISHED. Have you ever spent time and considered the last words of Christ when he was on the cross? What did he mean when he said it is finished? What did he achieve for all mankind? I want to share with you some deep truths and thoughts on the last words of Our Lord on the cross. It is my prayer that as you read, the Holy Spirit will grant you revelation Knowledge so that you to fully understand and comprehend this cry “It is Finished”. Matthew 26: 36-42. [In the garden of Gethsemane]. Before I explain the deep truths recorded in the last words of Jesus on the cross, let us go back a little to the garden of Gethsemane. The writer plainly states that Jesus was heavy in spirit. He was sad and heavily laden with cares. So he went to prey to his father. He know only to well what lay before him and he prayed these words. / “O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done”. / Jesus, before he could finish his work here on earth knew the price he would pay. But what caused him to be so heavy with fear that angels came and ministered to him? Why did he cry out with these words, He asked his father to spare him the suffering that lay before him. Yet he knew that it was necessary for him to suffer and become the sacrificial lamb. This cry was not borne from the fact he knew the beating post lay before him. You see Jesus Knew that they would tie him to a beating post and there he would be cruelly whipped. / (Psalms 129:3) The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows. / He knew that there at that beating post every stripe they lay upon him was the price he would pay for our healing. Understand this, He experienced in his body fully every disease that has been or ever will be. He felt the pains of Cancer as it ate away at his flesh. He cried as the crushing blow of heart disease reeked through his body. Blood diseases, Sicknesses of every kind. He actually experienced them all so we by his stripes can now be healed. He paid the price for our healing. Many had experience the beating post before him and after him. What was different about Jesus was that he took every sickness and disease upon himself. He pained and wreathed in agony for your right to divine health. But it was not the beating post that made him ask his father to remove it before him. / It was not the fact that he knew they would spit on him and pull the very hair from his beautiful cheeks. It was not the fact that they would drive nails deep into his hands and feet, nor was it the fact that he knew they would mock and revile him, strip him naked and place a crown of Jerusalem thorns upon his head. What was it that Jesus feared the most and asked his father to remove?. My Friend, in spite of all these terrible cruelties that lay before him, there was one thing Jesus feared more than all this. THAT WAS SERERATION FROM HIS LOVING FATHER. He was with God from the beginning of time. He never was separated from his Father before. But he knew that God is Holy and that he would not look on sin. Jesus knew what price he would pay for our redemption. [Separation from God]. Just as sin separates all people from God, so he to would be separated and experience the vast void between man and his creator. Jesus Would become a curse. / (Galatians 3:13) Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree. He would become sin. / (2 Corinthians 5:21) For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. / Just before Jesus Cried out “IT IS FINISHED” he cried another heart rending cry. (Mark 15:34) And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?. My God, My God, why have you forsaken me? / At this point The Father turned away from His dying son Jesus. Total serration took place. At this point Jesus was alone on the cross, and in his own words forsaken. What Sorry and terrible misery he went through was nothing compared with separation from his Fathers presence and his love. Now there was no one to strengthen him, no angels to comfort him and no Fathers loving arms to secure him. Alone and abandoned, Yet he cries in deep love towards his Father, My God, My God. Although separated he still loved his father. A son cries out to his father My God, My God! / After this he died. Friends when Jesus cried out “It is finished”, He paid in full the penalty of sins punishment. He alone was the only one that was counted worthy to do this. Angels were not worthy, only Gods beloved son. He did it all for you. If you were the only person in the word he would have done it for you. / That’s why I always tell people that, “There is a place in Gods heart for you, and only to can take that place”. He finished his work. He paid the price and now all men can be saved from Punishment, of sin and an eternity of suffering. He has now made all those who have received him as Lord and Saviour, Sons of God. Children of the most high, New creations, Yes Born again. Cor 5:17. His Blood not only washes away your sins, But because at the whipping post he took your sicknesses and deseases, He has saved you and healed you, If you are indeed born again. It does not stop there my Friend. As a child of god he has brought you into his Fathers inheritance! He has given you the legal right to Health and Prosperity. As He sis so are we in this world. *1 John 4:17. He has made you a King and Priest. Rev 1:6. You are more than a conqueror. He Lives in you, You reign with him. Because he lives you to live. For in him we have all. * (Acts 17:28) For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Jesus has secured all for us. If you have not received Jesus as Lord and Saviour, Please do so now. Just talk to him. Pray this Prayer, from your heart and He will forgive you and save you. He will live inside you. You will experience Love like no other love. You will hear him as he speaks to you through his word and Spirit. Prayer. Lord Jesus, I believe in you. I believe that you died for me, that You took my punishment on the cross, and that If I ask you to come into my heart you will. Jesus Forgive me as I have sinned. Pardon me, and wash away all my wrongs and sins. Come into my heart now. Open my eyes to who you really are and make yourself real to me. I surrender my life to you Jesus. Fill me with your life and make my life beautiful. Heavenly Father I receive Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Amen. I pray this will indeed shed some light on the words Jesus cried on the cross. For all who are Christian, those who have been born again and received Jesus as lord and Saviour, there was a time when you heard Jesus Call your name. A time when you knew that The Lord loved you and wanted your heart. This is what I mean when I say He called my name. for those who have read my personal testimony, you will know that he called my name. When I was a chronic Alcoholic, gambler and one who practiced witchcraft. *. Due to the requests of friends I have met via Redbubble, I have decided to share with you, how the lord called me to serve him in Africa. A call to service. [As the Lord lives and is true and holy, I certify that what you are about to read is a true account of how Jesus called me into Missionary Service. This is still as fresh in my memory today as it was when this incredible event took place in my life] On Friday 26th August 1994, I was troubled in my spirit all day. I sat and watched Television and read a book, but yet I felt God wanted to speak to me, but I did not know what he wanted. So my wife said to me that I should just go to the park and pray. It was 6.05pm in the evening when I arrived at the park, and I parked my car and started to walk around the park. / I was walking and looking at the swans on the pond and praying at the same time. Then with not warning at all, I became aware that someone was walking close behind me. I did not look back, but knew someone was behind me. I continued walking along a narrow footpath and as I did I felt a person’s hand holding mine. There was no fear or indeed any desire to look to see who this was that was holding my right hand. / It was very strange looking back now to why I did not want to see who it was. This would have been anyone’s reaction at the time. I felt warm and at peace, not knowing that It was *Jesus who was the one actually holding my hand. I was Praying in the Spirit [speaking to God in the gift of tongues]. Then Jesus said my name, Trevor. It was the softness and Love in his voice that caused me to look and as I say my Masters face, I knew that It was him. He did not need to tell me it was Jesus. When Jesus comes to you my friend, you won’t need any introduction or explanation, for you will know it is the King of kings that has called your name. In an instant tears my friend flowed down my face, and I was crying like I have never cried before. My emotions were overwhelmed with sadness and sorrow, because his eyes were filled with tears also and he was quietly weeping. Here was my Jesus holding my hand and he was crying. I could not understand why I was not jubilant with Joy. His sorrow pierced my very fibre of my being. By now, I was transported away from all consciousness of being in the park on a bright summer evening and we were in a dark place. The Only way I can describe this pace is to use a well as an example. Imagine a deep round stone well, empty, and you are at the bottom of it. It is very round and very wide. So can hardly see the other side of it, and you can just make out the huge stones that form the round sides of it. It’s dark at the bottom and you cannot see any light, except the light that emanates from Jesus Garments. This is how it seemed at that point. As I Gazed into his face, he spoke these words to me. / “Trevor, My Son, I want to show you something, do not be afraid my son for I am with you”. There was a short silence as these words took hold of me. He gently squeezed my hand and began to walk forward in this dark place. As we went forward, he was still weeping, and I could hear voices in the distance and different kinds of noises, like doors opening and closing, and A smell that I had never experienced before. I was crying as the Passion and sorrow of Jesus seemed to flow into my heart. It was so hard to carry such sadness and I have never experienced this before or after. Then I began to see people at my left side and all were chained to the walls and terrible sores were all over them, and all were shouting things at Jesus. I could not make out what they were saying, but Jesus was crying and weeping. The smell was terrible and there were some that when they say him cried as well. As we went forward the light that was so white lit up the side and a little ahead. The place was so big and wide I could not see the other ends. Then he again spoke to me “Trevor my Son, Do not be afraid”. I was scared, but his words just melted away any fears I had. We then came to a place where I saw am Casket alone and as we walked pass, a man spoke and said “Jesus, Why have you let me come here?. Jesus with tears answered him and said “Judgement has been set”. Again the man shouted at him and started to explain to Jesus that he was a pastor and that all his life he served Jesus and Preached and give to those in need. Jesus said again to him, “Judgement has been set”. / / All the time Jesus was weeping and I was looking at Jesus all the time, and I never did see the man, but knew he was a man, because of his voice. Again the man pleaded with Jesus and told him many other good things he had done and as he was talking, Jesus raised his other hand and stopped the man from speaking. Then Jesus said to the man, “ I sent you warnings, I sent messengers to warn you and you did not repent, for the woman you slept with was not the wife I had given you, and you died in your sins, therefore Judgement has been set”. Jesus was very sad, and began to lead me further into this dark and cold place. Then we came to another place like a very large open place with walls so thick and wide and there were like empty prison cells all around. One cell stacked upon another and I could not see where they ended, and they were so high. Then Jesus knelt down on his knees and was now crying and I could feel his body shaking. All this time he was still holding my right hand. I stood beside him with tears flowing down my face and my heart was breaking with compassion and sadness for my Lovely Lord Jesus. I then knelt down beside him and wanted to hold him close, but I was so troubled to see My Lord cry like this. Then I asked him the only question I asked through all of this. “Lord, why are you crying, there is nobody here?. In what seemed like a long time we both cried and cried. Then still kneeling, Jesus looked deep into my eyes and said, / “This Place is prepared for all those who do not know my name”. / As I looked all around, I now could hear screams and fluttering wings and rustlings above our heads high above where we were. I saw in the darkness shadows of what I can only describe as winged demons, hellish beings flying about. Jesus was weeping so hard and as he stood up, I was still on my knees. He looked into my face and said to me “My Son, Go to Africa, to the villages and proclaim my name among the people, Go tell them who I am and that I love them, and I will be with you each step you take” Then Again suddenly, as if no time passed, I was back in the park. The first thing I became aware of was that I could not feel his hand in mine. I cried and begged him to come back again, and I remember saying Lord there is so much I want to ask you. The Holy Spirit then opened the eyes of my understanding and I realised that God had allowed me to have a vision where Jesus came and called my name. Where he had appeared to me and called me for service. I was deeply shaken and all they way back to my car, I was worshipping my lord in tongues [heavenly Language]. How I drove home, I do not know, and as I told my wife and we both just praised God and give thanks. I told my pastor the following day Saturday 27th August 1994, and the response are you sure it was Jesus. I was upset and few in the church the following day had any encouragement. So On Monday 27th August 1994 I went to my local travel agent and asked how much a ticket would be for Uganda. As a boy in School we had a visiting teacher from Uganda. I marvelled at the little round huts they lived in and the photographs she showed us was amazing. So I settled it that Uganda was the place God wanted me to go. The ticket was £530.00. I had no money so I sold my car. I was determined to get to where Jesus sent me and do what he told me to do. All this time and even now. I still see my Lord and the love in his beautiful eyes. Yes I still cry and know someday I will be with him forever. I Got the exact money from the sale of my car. It was then that the Church saw that I was committed to following my lords Commission. A Little money came in and I went to Africa on Saturday 24th September 1994. I arrived in a country where I knew nobody. I asked the taxi driver at Entebbe airport to take me to a Christian Guesthouse. He took me to marimba Guest house. That evening as I lay alone in my little room, a house girl knocked my door. She asked if I would like to attend a church. I was so happy. The following Day I who knew nobody was preaching to a Church of Over 2000 people. That evening I was speaking at Chief of Police Wedding anniversary, and in that audience were Government officials, and others. The following week I was given a small house to live in free of charge, a Vehicle and driver, and the mission to extreme poor and isolated villages was born. Since that time I have dedicated my whole life to Preaching the Gospel in remote areas of Africa, South India and have never had a salary. I have trusted and depended on God to meet my needs and that of my family. There have been and still are difficulties in rising the cost of Travel, But God always blesses me with Good people whom he has given a passion and heart to pray for these precious children and to sow financially into his work. This is how the Lord called me to service. I pray It will bless and inspire you. Thank you to all who have asked me how God called me to be a missionary without having a job to fund it. The day after I returned from my holidays last week, I received a delightful email from Zazzle that my “Celebration Of Life” keds had been sold! This was and still is exciting because I finally sold my first pair :D Just when I thought nobody loves my keds, a fellow bubbler,Cazzie came along and bought a pair (Thanks Cazzie!! This is a great encouragement to me!). Yes! It was a day of triple thrills when I discovered I sold 3 of my zazzle calendars to a fellow zazzler :D Days like these are rare, so I was super thrilled. They are my first calendar sales, happy to have made some sales before 2008 comes to a close:D This is a collection of Ophelia portraits using pastels-acrylic on paper and wood :D This consists my acrylic paintings of Ophelia, Phoebe and Mel, a calendar that celebrates life and friendship :D This is also Ophelia :D She’s a finger puppet toy, less than 4 inches tall. It has been quite a crazy week here in Bangkok. I’m sure some of you may have heard or read about the crisis that we are facing here. The international airport here in Bangkok was sieged by the anti-government protesters(more than 50,000 of them I think)...about 5 days ago. The airport had to be shut down and many tourists are unable to fly back, there’s no news as to when the airport will be reopened. The anti-government protesters issued an ultimatum,theywould not leave the airport unless the current Prime MInister resigns. It seems that the Prime Minister has no plans to do so. As such, one of the trapped tourist is my Singaporean friend. Poor guy, he has to travel all the way to another province to catch the flight back to Singapore. We also have a fellow bubbler, Kim who is now holidaying in Bangkok and I doubt she would be able to fly back from Bangkok tomorrow. I met her for lunch yesterday and we had a great time together! Kim is such an upbeat lady, full of ideas and enthusiasm for art and life! I find her enthusiasm very contagious indeed! She gave me some of her art pieces that are made into very cute luggage tags, I will take some photos and show you the next time :D In the midst of these craziness, I’m pleased to be able to share some good news :D Many thanks to DanceswithCats for purchasing a card of Wild Thoughts Do view her cute and delightful portfolio of her furry friends, you will love it!! :D This was my very first upload here on RB, it has the least viewings and comments so far. While I was praying early this morning for each of you, as I doe each day, The holy Spirit allowed me to feel a members pain and the lord laid it on my heart to share with you the words that you are about to read. This is for someone here, and I do not know, but the Lord Jesus knows. I pray it will bless all, but especially the one whom God sends it to. [Gods personal message to someone he knows]. Zephaniah 3:17-20 [Common English Bible].The LORD your God wins victory after victory and is always with you. He celebrates and sings because of you, and he will refresh your life with his love.” (18) The LORD has promised: Your sorrow has ended, and you can celebrate. (19) I will punish those who mistreat you. I will bring together the lame and the outcasts, then they will be praised, instead of despised, in every country on earth. (20) I will lead you home, and with your own eyes you will see me bless you Then you will be famous everywhere on this earth. I, the LORD, have spoken! 1. As a minister of God, I have often counselled Gods children who have come to me with all sorts of problems and Challenges. One of the challenges that was most common is that they feel guilt and condemnation. / Their thoughts were filled with guilt over what they had done in their past, someone they hurt, something they said or done. One precious child of God would wake up at nights with fear that God was angry with her. Another would feel he was being judged by God because he was always depressed about his past. satan would like all of us to think and feel that way. But you need to understand something. God is Love and he loves you. God has spoken to you today in Zephaniah Ch3. Does that sound like God is angry with you his child. NO!. / One of the strategies satan uses is to get you to feel shame, guild and worthless because of your past. I knew a dear friend who would not pray as they felt God was angry because of the things they did in the past. They would cower and feel so unclean. He said that he knew God had forgiven him, but he still felt shamed and unworthy. Beloved, here Gods minister now as I speak to you under his anointing and in the power of his Holy Spirit. If that is you, and I know someone feels like this or similar, God has something to say to you personally right now. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. When you asked Jesus into your heart / He washed away every sin, every wrong, and you became a brand new person. You became a brand new person. Notice that in 2 Corinthians 5:17, it clearly says that the old things have passed away. God does not see your sins or wrongs, as they have been washed away in the Blood of Jesus. God does not remember them anymore. Jeremiah 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Here God is talking about his children. Now before this was fulfilled, the price for Sin had to be paid in full, before God could forget their sins and wrongs. Jesus Gods son paid tat price in Full. God sees you through the finished work of his son Jesus. He sees the Blood of Jesus applied to your heart. He has forgiven you and does not remember your sinful past. When you received Jesus as saviour, you became a new person. Now you have a new father, and you have the DNA of God. You are brand new. Often satan will try and bring to your thoughts things that you did and then get you to think or focus on them. When he does this just tell him, “I have no sinful past, as the Lord Jesus you thought you could destroy, rose from the dead and his blood paid the price for my forgiveness, and that sacrifice was excepted by God, and the blood has washed away all my sinful past from Gods memory and mine”. Tell satan, you are born again and Jesus lives in you! / There is no need to feel unworthy, shame or guilt. / / 1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. / The Blood of Jesus never stops working and is all powerful. Precious friend, See yourself as God sees you. He sees you righteous in the righteousness of Jesus. He sees you as his son/daughter. You have the same father as Jesus. Hallelujah! / There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus. [Romans 8:1] / / Colossians 1:12-14 [Amplified Bible] Giving thanks unto the Father, of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has made us meet [Qualified] us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: (13) Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath [translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son]: (14) In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. God truly has heard their cry. I have many new photographs and testimonies. Please be patient as it will take some time to upload them. I may open a new India Mission site here. Africa is still my main mission filed, but after prayer, and guidance from the Holy Spirit I have agreed with Gods permission to raise awareness and help these precious suffering outcast people. This is regards to my Deviant Art account where I post my own stock for others to use. I hope that you enjoy the new range and find it useful. I would love to hear your thoughts on this: I have always looked sideways at people who went out of their way to do something for you and wondered “Whats the catch?”. / It is in this day and age where the saying “No one dose anything, unless they are getting something out of it” seems more true than anything, and I wondered when I had become so jaded. When had I started looking at gifts like they had hidden rows of teeth waiting to take a chunk out of me? I am starting to think that an artist community should be one of mutual support, learning and sharing. So why was I asking people who were using my stock to curb their artistic licences to create by my need for recognition? I guess it goes back to the idea that, I got off my backside and spent time taking photographs so I should get something out of it. Now I am sure that there are going to be a lot of people who are going to read this and think that I am taking a stab at them, Im not. This is just a personal revelation on what I believe concerning my own stock. I still belive that as an artist you have the right to ask for recognition for the time and effort that you have taken in creating your stock, I dont dispute that right. I respect your rights and follow your guidelines, respecting you and thanking you for your stock. For it is with your help that I have been able to create the artworks that I have. But I was thinking to myself “If someone uses my stock and creates a completely new artwork from my stock, is it my right to tell them that they can or cant create a print or add them to their other artist accounts, when the resulting artwork is from their own imagination?” / It just makes it hard for them to be able to follow their creative voices when they are following about eight sets of different rules. So I have gone though my gallery and made a majority of it UNRESTRICTED STOCK, so that it is easier for all of you out there who would like to create and cant afford ot purchase stock. So use it as you will, post it where you want, sell it as a print without my permission…Because the finished artwork is the result of your own ideas, and I do not claim any rights over them. WHAT IS UNRESTRICTED STOCK? / Unrestricted stock can be used for both personal and commercial projects, but it cannot be redistributed as stock. You are not required to obtain permission prior to using the stock off site or in DA prints. The only requirements are that the stock provider be notified and credited. / New Folder The only rules that apply are to my MODEL STOCK (as with any model stock that is out there) and because they are of people you do need to follow the rules: 1. FOR DEVIANTART USE ONLY. ASK PERMISSION BEFORE POSTING ANYWHERE ELSE ON THE NET!!! Terrific news!! Some wonderful person just purchased 3 things from me, all in the shape of baby bulls…and I am thrilled, thank you so much!!! / / A matted print of Baby Bull Production Baby Bull Production is something I created not that long ago. It’s a mixed media piece on canvas textured paper……i did it in response to the chilled out cows at Mullumbimby, northern New South Wales, who seem to be very laid back, i suspect they are indulging in the ‘other’ kind of grass also……. they have this real chilled look about them, and I’ve never seen cows anywhere else that have this way about them. I put it in the Casino Art Exhibition and it was the only painting that sold, every year a male school teacher goes to that show, or so the legend goes…….and purchases a piece……it was my lucky year. Tonight I was asked if I’d ever sold a painting in a gallery…well, yes, and at exhibitions and privately. To date I believe I have sold between 30 and 40 original paintings, which I am very proud of…..in the early days 2002 I was very prolific, things have slowed down a bit with my painting now, because i am much more deliberate and take a lot of time to imbue my paintings with layers and love and depth…..it is just how i have grown as an artist, it is nice to report that there is growth along the journey…(and sales lol)!!! Somebody also has a print of these cows and loves them very much from what I understand lol You may recall/or not, that Baby Bull Production was featured in the “Griffith Review” University Publication… quite a few months ago I was honoured to be contacted by the Griffith REVIEW which is a publication of topical essays, memoirs and reports by some of the best writers and artists Australia has to offer, which is put out by Griffith University 4 times a year in the form of a book / A matted print of Moo Cow Sunrise Family Moo Cow Sunrise is usually over at my other Red Bubble Shop called Migaloomagic but I need to order a few things, and it saves me postage if I upload this design to my main portfolio. Many of you will have probably seen it before, if so, please don’t feel you need to comment. There is a lovely calendar available from my Migaloomagic store also full of bright beautiful happy kids images, just perfect for going back to school and keeping track of time :) / Baby Bull Production TShirt Thank you again :)
