This was just a lucky catch. My wife got some tulips for her birthday and I took one out as the sun was setting to try a get a nice shot. I put the vase down & as soon as I turned my back I heard the hummer behind me, I turned back around and had time to get off one shot before he realized he wasn’t interested in tulips. Hello, This is a little cute green tree frog that hopped on a water lilly. I thought it was so great, let me hear what you think.
-
Lolly is the sweetest munchkin, I love her to death! Although I am really, really going to miss my cousin and her gorgie daughter when they move to Macau my compensation is the addition to my family of this little girl. It’s a bit tricky now having a Tolly and a Lolly! When I growl at Lolly for jumping all over the elderly Tolly, Tolly often gives me this kind of “what did I do?” look! But Lolly was named by the afore-mentioned gorgie daughter of my cousin who is 3 years old so there it is. ___________ Other Images / All Things Italy / Animals / Fabulous Felines / Flowers & Leaves & Things / Black & White / Urban / Land, Sea & Sky Scapes / Textures & Abstracts / Triptychs (and one quartet!) / 35mm Film / La Serenissima / Other Places & Things

A beautiful flamingo showing off his (unnatural-looking!) flexible neck. This was shot at an exposure of -2 against a shadowed background, which made the background appear black. This shot was taken in Homosassa Springs State Park, Florida. 100% of the profits from the sale of this print will be donated to the American Bird Conservancy.

This is an old shot but it’s still a favorite of mine. I was staying on the coast for a couple of days and decided to drag myself out of bed at an obscene hour so that I could watch the sunrise. I strolled around the empty streets for a while just enjoying the quiet and waiting for Mother Nature’s show to begin. As the sky started to come alive with color I grabbed a front row seat so that I didn’t miss anything. Before I knew it, there were three pigeons sitting next to me, and the four of us watched the show together. It was one of the best mornings I have ever experienced. This shot was taken on the Matanzas River in Saint Augustine, Florida. 100% of the profits from the sale of this image will be donated to the American Bird Conservancy.

This one I’ve intentionally washed out to highlight the eyes and nose. I did a bit of digital cleaning to make the impact a bit more. The cat’s name is Giblet and he’s a real suckie.
