We met a couple with this gorgeous Bernais ?? Mountain Dog, he was terrified of the beach and the sea so he was being carried most of the way along, it was his first time, I just couldn’t resist taking some photos of him and loved this one with the sand on his nose! Placed 10th in the Playful Photogenic Pets Noses Challenge 14th September ‘09 / Featured in Mans Best Friend 20th March ‘09

This is our other dog who’s name is snoopy. He is 8yrs old. He has been a little bit sick lately. The vet called us tonight and the blood count is high. Wanted to know if he had been vomiting. I said, “NO”. I guess because of his age it is normal to have a high count in your blood. I guess snoopy has an inflamation of the pancreas but he is okay. BUT we also found out that he needs surgery on both of his eyes plus he also needs his ears done (again). That is an on going thing for him. He also needs to get his teeth done. After all is said and done I am probably looking at over $2500 if not more. Ouch! I have to take him back to the vet now since we got the blood results back. So, I will know more soon. Hopefully, I can start selling some stuff so I can give him the surgery. :o) / Doesn’t he have the sadess looking face? He is a bull pointer with part shapei. Shot in the Lamar Valley, YELLOWSTONE National Park, USA. A lucky grab-shot. / I had spotted the Cottonwoods and wanted to capture the beautiful colours of Fall against the shadowy hill behind, then I saw the Male Bison emerge from the trees. He had a mission on his mind, a couple of females across the river, LOL !! (out of sight of this shot.) He was moving pretty quickly, and luckily I had my short telephoto lens already attached to the camera ! A magical moment and experience !! Shot on my Canon EOS 40D, set on Landscape mode, Aperture Priority, with polarising filter, hand-held, iso 200, f 6.7, 1/180 sec , underexposed by one stop because of the dark shadowy hill , Auto WB ( I mostly use this), lens was my Canon EF 75-300mm set at 200mm (don’t have this lens anymore) RAW file, processed in Adobe Camera Raw, then tweaked in PS CS3, with selective Levels/Curves, and selective colour adjustments.
