Preferring tranquility to tourist crowds, we climbed the Monte Stivo, northeast from Lago di Garda (Lake Garda), rather than very popular Monte Baldo. The horse we met on the Monte Stivo’s slopes was only interested in grazing the green grass, but we admired the beautiful vistas of the lake and surrounding mountains. Taken in August 2001. Canon EOS 500N, 28-80mm. Post-processing, mostly to correct not-that-perfect optical qualities of the lens (character of the photograph not changed): some color & brightness corrections, retouching, dodge&burn, blend modes, sharpening (HighPass + Edges/UnsharpMask). Thanks for viewing. PS. Nearly lost my balls making the November image. Come to think of it, I’ve nearly lost my balls on numerous occasions whilst making photographs in the last few years.
