This is the spring counterpart to my other Barred owl called Winter’s watchman Taken in the same general area in April 2005. You can tell he was just in the swampy water below, either bathing or chasing after a snake to eat, by the wetness present on his feathers.

I’ve been looking for some Amanita muscaria without success but I thought I might just put up a few other “guys” I found while looking. These tiny guys were growing out of a recently fallen old stag (dead tree). Not colourful but cute just the same. Digital photograph Photoshop enhanced. My neighbor Kim adopted this animal shelter rescue, named for her beautiful blue eyes. She like the picture so much that she decided to purchase a medium framed print. To date it is my one and only sale on RB. Beautiful, Beautiful Blue When I exit my door there sits she on the sill looking out at me. I always wave and call her name “Blue”. Her meow seems to say hello also to you. I step up to the glass. There, my hand I press. She comes over to the pane, bows her head as if to accept my carress and my own to bless. Beautiful, beautiful blue, you are part of me now and I, now, am part of you. Beautiful, beautiful blue.
