Australian Brushtail Possum in my Gladstone Bag. He turned up a while ago and liked his new apartment. I occasionally give him a piece of fruit which he seems to appreciate. PS since I posted this there has been a little drama which had a kinda happy ending.

Acrylic On Canvas Ophelia,Phoebe and Mel having fun on the elephant’s back….and elephant was pleased to have their company as well! :D This was painted in May’08 and I remembered I had a yearning to want to visit Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand :D..so that was why I painted these 3 friends having an outing with the elephant….because there are many elephant reserves there in Chiang Mai, where they protect these precious animals from harm. Acrylic On Canvas For those who may not be that familiar with Phoebe, she’s a patchwork bunny doll and the baby of the trio. She enjoys putting on all kinds of quirky caps and hats, she is never seen without them! The sea ice is shrinking at an alarming rate, which has a huge impact for the bears as this is their main hunting ground. More and more bears are being found to have drowned while trying to find the ice, even though they can swim up to sixty miles or so! / / I hope the ice does not completely vanish and that they always have somewhere to hut! (Spitsbergen – Scandinavian Arctic) / /

This is a portrait of a house cat from one of the Mornington Peninsula Wineries (25 July, 2009) who just sits around all day! For the record, I’m a dog person and I’m allergic to cats but this cat was so well behaved and just sat so still I couldn’t help my self but photograph it!
