  • Acrylic On Canvas Concept: Ophelia having some solitude, she’s meditating on what love is all about…love between lovers, between friends, between parents and children, between teacher and students, between owners and their pets and etc….the greatest love is when one is willing to lay down his/her life(others-seeking and not self-seeking) for another person whom he/she loves. While painting this, it also reminds me of a famous chinese love tale, “The Butterfly Lovers”....thus a pair of butterflies. It is a tragic tale about how a couple could only find their love bliss after they pass on and both became butterflies.I’m contented to have found my bliss :D View my other “Love Meditations” creations at my Zazzle store:

I used my Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT 350D, with EOS Lens 18 – 55mm. / BEST VIEWED LARGE. This was taken up the Trinity Mountains, it was almost dark. There had been fires up there a year before. its why the trees look this way, I found it interesting and started to take the trees against that sky.

Dave from mannum was with me that night shooting just a little to my right and the face didn’t appear in his images. Canon 400D polarising filter – 18- 55 lens HDR and converted in Photomatix…

  • Okay…. My kids made me do it!!! They found this snail in the garden and insisted that I photograph it so here’s the result.

  • Oil Pastels and Acrylic On Wood (Slight digital enhancements) / Ophelia spending some quiet moments by the window, enjoying her own company :D / This is a quote that greatly inspires me. “People travel to wonder at the height of the mountains,at the huge waves of the sea,at the long courses of rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motion of the stars; and they pass by themselves without wondering.” St. Augustine You can view and buy my other “Quiet Moments” creations at my Zazzle Gallery:

  • views: 433 / favs: 15 Image straight from the camera. Taken on January 11, 2009 with an Olympus FE-340 It was the first day of the year that the weather in London was beautiful so I spent the day outdoor walking through the parks, and the squirrels are very friendly. This particular shot was in Green Park. While I was trying to set-up my camera to take a photo, this little guy suddenly climbed up my leg! (I missed the opportunity to take its picture while it was there) I looked down at it, and it looks to the side as though saying “I didn’t do anything…” (see image in first comment), then it runs behind me and tries to climb up my knapsack; then runs in front me, spirals up the pole and pokes its head to the side going “Peek-a-boo!” After it climbed down I brought my hand out. It grabbed my finger for a little while, but took off before I could get a picture then :-( ... But atleast I captured the funny Peek-a-boo moment! The light and dark areas in the eye may look like the iris and the sclera of the eye, but that is actually caused by reflections; The dark bit at the bottom left corner of the eye is a reflection of myself with the camera:

  • Mirror, mirror … two rainbow zebras on a tshirt. Our homage to the zebra, one of the most beautiful creatures on earth.

  • A male leopard pauses for a drink after failing to stalk a herd of Impala in the Okavango delta, Botswana. Amazingly, after he was spotted by the herd they all came rushing towards him: according to the ranger, to let the leopard know he had been seen. / Featured in The Woman Photographer, South Africa – Rainbow Nation and All Animals Great and Small. /

  • Nice seashell on the beach with blue reflected sky

  • Autumn has arrived here in the UK and the squirrels are everywhere, gathering nuts for the winter. I payed a visit to Belle Vue Park in Newport, South Wales today to watch them play. Image taken with a Canon EOS 500D and 250mm lens. Edited in PS…running off to see if I can fit a santa’s hat on one of the squirrels and chuck him in a raindrop…..lol / Please ask for details on the greeting card version. / FEATURED in ‘All original blends’ / FEATURED in ‘Canon DSLR’ / FEATURED in ‘Squirrels and chipmonks’
