Vincent’s Cat Recently I’ve been looking at Vincent Van Gogh’s paintings. I love his irises and wanted to paint some myself. Their complicated forms and brilliant deep blues captivated me. As some of you may know I have a fondness for cats. During my life I have had two exceptional ginger cats ‘Victor’ and ‘Mittens’ who were very dear to me; this is dedicated to their memory. Acrylic on canvas / Size: 30cm x 30cm Original SOLD
I drew this for a good friend’s birthday present. Enjoy :)
from Aesop’s Fables: A Crow, half-dead with thirst, spied a pitcher and flew to it in joy. But when he arrived, he discovered that only very little water was left in it, and he could not reach far enough down to get at it. He tried evrything he could think of to reach the water, but all his efforts were in vain. Then a thought came to him and he took a pebble and dropped it into the pitcher. he collected as many pebbles as he cold find and dropped them one by one into the pitcher, until the water gradually rose to the brim and he was able to quench his thirst and save his life.
