ORIGINAL FOR SALE $899 plus P&H This is my beautiful big boy, Printz. So named because of the black and white print fur:) Also named because when he talks its Prrrr…. He and his mother and littermates were dumped on a neighbouring farm 8 years ago. I have long made it a habit to rescue dumped animals and I just couldn’t resist him:) He was partially feral with fear and it took a long time to win his trust and love. Now, he’s a one woman cat! I just love being worshiped and adored:) From the original gouache and coloured pencil illustration. On April 14, my gorgeous boy ran over the Rainbow Bridge unexpectedly and suddenly. I still hurt. I miss my four footed furry bestest friend… The original framed artwork is for sale. Please contact me for further information.

Here are Pixie, the black Cane Corso, and Tucker, the Beagle. The size difference may prevented other dogs from becoming friends; however, these two are playful pals. The dogs chase each other around, or Pixie (the Cane Corso) lies on the ground and lets Tucker (the Beagle) pretend to be dominant as the little dog jumps on her and chews her ears. They eat together and, when they sleep, Tucker lies against the big black dog to stay warm. The two dogs apparently draw comfort from each other. The bond that dogs can establish with other dogs and species is often dramatic and poignant. This is consistent with the idea that, although dogs are happiest when they are in a social situation, the species that they are interacting with is less important than the quality of the interactions. I was drawing a lion for my friend… He was kind of lonely and I’ve drawn him his little son to play with ;) Little lion thinks he look like his Dad! I think he does! :)

Otters have long, slim bodies and relatively short limbs, with webbed paws. Most have sharp claws on their feet, and all have long muscular tails. They have a very soft underfur which is protected by their outer layer of long guard hair. This traps a layer of air, and keeps them dry and warm under water. Most otters have fish as the primary item in their diet, supplemented by frogs, crayfish and crabs. Some are expert at opening shellfish, and others will take any available small mammals or birds. Otters are playful animals, for example sliding repeatedly down snowy slopes, apparently from sheer enjoyment.

Haley, my golden Retriever, has several toys but the red ball is her favorite. The only time she wants to put it down is when she eats! / I have been having some action/focus problems and trying to work them out with the help of Haley. She is very well trained and will sit until I am in position with my camera and ready for her to run toward me. We have done this repeatedly during the last few days in the front yard. I couldn’t ask for a better model! / THe first day I tried it, I had both dogs in the yard. My other one, who isn’t so well trained, mostly just got in the way or ran in the opposite direction so decided working with Haley only was much better idea. /

I took this photo of two grizzly bears splashing in a pool at the Oklahoma City Zoo in late March 2009. I called the image “Grinning Grizzlies” because the pair looked like they were smiling at each other like a couple of kids having a good old time on a Sunday afternoon.
