We must have spent hours photographing this “Little Bee Eater” next to a river in Samburu National Park (Kenya). After a while I got lucky (although there is another one I like that will be adding soon, of a pair) and was able to get this shot. A light breeze ruffled the feathers as I was about to take my shot, giving me something more distinctive. / / (Samburu National Park – Kenya) / / / / /

Not long before sunset we came across this lioness and cubs resting in the long grass. I got quite low to the ground for this to give the appearance of looking through the grass. Uploaded: 06/29/08 Media: Photograph Photo montage – The photos used here, were taken mostly in May 08. / Another chapter from My Book of Feathers / I see the Peacock as the most significant symbol, as where my REAL ART, Once started. True, that I always loved to draw as a kid, and even one of my painting back then, was sent to Jerusalem for an exhibition – ” Children of the World paint Jerusalem ” ... Yet, the inner main decision of becoming an artist was taken later in my life , around the time I was 18-20 years old. / Around that time, I made probably my first peacocks painting, that is still with me somewhere, it signifies for me, the real beginning of my painting. / Each feather of Peacock might seem similar, yet it is different. For the change, that is occurring each day, every single moment,in life, even if sometimes, we fail to notice it… Because It was always there written on a piece of feather, sealed with love. / Thanks for being with me, as part of the story of my life… / May it be long lasting, healthy, fulfilling and full with energies of LOVE. / Love YOU !! More and more bears are being found to have drowned while trying to find the ice, even though they can swim up to sixty miles or so! / / I hope the ice does not completely vanish and that they always have somewhere to hut! King Penguins hanging out on the beach! / / This is one amazing island that you all must try to get to, if you don’t mind four days in rough seas on a boat that is!!! But it is truly worth it…. / / This image was taken at a place called “Salisbury Plain”, where there are approximately 250 000 penguins! The sound as you come over the hill is tremendous, not to mention the smell!! / / Salisbury Plane – South Georgia
