  • This was created to honor Brother Hawk, the Messenger…..I have been encountering him over the past couple of days…...in dreams, in the sky, and here on RedBubble…... :-) Hawk has acute vision and a very discriminating nature, symbolizing a sense of prophetic intuition….He shows up as a reminder to pay attention to subtle messages we may receive from our environment or the people we are coming in contact with…. Thank you, Brother Hawk…..

  • This spiritual design by Skye, is a tribute to the sacredness of Wildlife and indeed, of all Life. • ‘Tatanka Ska’ means White Buffalo in Lakota. Buffalo represents Prayer and Abundance….the herds provided food, clothing and shelter to the Plains People. The Medicine of Buffalo is about honoring all that Mother Earth provides for us. It is about the understanding that abundance is ours when we honor all Life as sacred and give thanks for all that we have been given. Buffalo inspires us to connect with the true meaning of Life. The White Buffalo is especially sacred to the Lakota people, as its story & prophecy have been told and retold for generations among them. Legend of the White Buffalo

  • What a great morning. Out early before work taking some images of the wind farm at Portland. As I leant against the car a Koala emerged from the bush about twenty metres from me and started to slowly walk towards me along the roadside. I sat down quietly thinking it would be scared but it walked right up, sat near my feet and allowed me to take a range of images and then slowly ambled down to the side of the car where it sat looking at its own image being reflected. After trying to paw at itself there for about ten minutes it slowly walked off back into the scrub. What an experience!!!! For anyone from overseas I must tell you this just normally doesn’t happen with Koala’s, they are shy and usually steer away from humans unless in captivity. Shot with my brand new Canon 7D that I was using for only the second time, coupled with 17 -85 lens.
