This is an illustration I did of my favorite musician, Chino Moreno. If you don’t know him. He’s the lead singer of the band Deftones. I didn’t have any reason to do this except as a kind of tribute to a person I admire. I left out some of his tattoos. This was done very quickly so there wasn’t much attention to detail. It’s a fairly simple image. I added the red water as more of an experiment. I wanted another elements in the image, but I never got around to it..

A boy and a bird, both singing their song to each other. I have tried this, whistling back to the birds I hear, but they never respond. =P Just a simple little thing I did, kind of a different style but I like it. Was fun to do. =D / Used sepia ink for the characters and border, then added a texture and the music notes in the background with Photoshop. Hope you like it! =3

I decided to make a shirt with just the bird from my Whistle drawing. Why? Cause I’m thinking about buying it myself, once I have lost some weight (so I can fit in the M size). =P There is a version for dark shirts (this one) and one for light shirts here . I also made an Illustrator version of the bird, but after some feedback on the forums decided not to post it. So I was catching up on my Bleach the other day… And, well, sometimes they use english phrases that don’t always sound particularly correct OR just sound kind of awkward…. SO… While watching an episode I noticed Ichigo was wearing a t-shirt that said this :P I thought it was awesome. It’s super simple, considering that it’s pretty much all text (save the little star at the bottom right), but that’s ok now and then, yeah?

Medium: Tempra / Size: 24”x24” / 2008 This one seems to be everyone’s favorite. For this assignment I had to select a culture to emulate in my work, so I chose Mexican folk art. The animals are traditionally statues painted in vibrant colors and sweet patterns. My own twist is having them play instruments.
