  • When I saw this horse, my jaw dropped and I fell in love. / I don’t often go gar-gar about an animal, but to me this was a Magic Moment. / Also, I don’t often see a horse with it’s tail touching the ground or a main like this one. / ( taken on my last trip to King Island.) • The New Forest is one of my most favourite places in England. It is an area located in the southern England which includes the largest remaining tracts of unenclosed pasture land, heath land and old-growth forest. The New Forest was created as a royal forest in 1079 by William the Conqueror for the hunting of (mainly) deer. As of 2005, roughly ninety per cent of the New Forest is still owned by the Crown. The Crown lands have been managed by the Forestry Commission since 1923. Around half of the Crown lands fall inside the new National Park. It is the only place in England that you can still find wild ponies. They are beautiful and free creatures living in the forest, most of the times, they don’t pay much attention to you, they are just interested in eating but on few occasions, some of the ponies get quite curious and would come and approach you. Just like the pony in my image who also nicely posed for my photograph!
