Speckled pony foal – I believed it was a Shetland pony, as it was with its mother at the time and she looked like a Shetland pony. However, the Shetland Pony experts in the UK have emailed me to tell me there is no such thing as spotted Shetlands so there we are! ;o) All I know is I just wanted to pick up the cute critter and take him home with me. New Forest, Hampshire, England.

A commission I did some time ago as a raffle prize. Wildon Impressive, ‘Imp’, for short, is a lovely Arabian pony stallion. He sure did show off for me on photo day, prancing around, giving me lovely photos to work from. Derwent colour pencils , white gouache and black ink on mat board. 36×45cm. 2006 Has been featured in ‘Equine Art and Photography’ and ‘The Pony Club’ groups.

This is a Mini Horse Stallion, he is a Palomino (very light) with pinto markings and appaloosa markings, the way the morning sun was laying on him you can barely see the appaloosa markings on the hip. This stallion is part of a large herd located in rural Southern Oregon.
