/ Rescued Pets / ImageWriting / Pets are Us Adjusted a little in Photo Shop This Is Mikie my Green Iguana, Giant Greens as they are called. She is a tropical lizard about 7 years old. (5 feet 9 pounds) I love her very much because she is a special lizard. She isn’t like other iggys. Mikie will hug me,(i kid you not) BUT only me. no one else would dare get that close to her and I would not let them ‘cause she bites. She is sweet with me tho and that is all that counts. / Thousands of years ago the natives of Mexico once thought that the iguana HAD to be with the Kings in their tombs because that was the ONLY way he could come back to earth and still be able to return to his rewarded land. They thought the green iguana was the key to returning to earth, like an earth totom. Mikie was a rescued from a sure fate of painful death. She was just 4 months old tossed in a cage of 12 with one dead already. There she was a skinny little green lizard who’s shop keep had NO idea what the heck he had. She never asked to be here but when she arrived, she was sick. I took her to the vet and found the little baby lizard had bone deasese due to poor living and food and it cause her to loose her entire fingernail on her right hand, 3 spikes, and 1 inch of tail. Love Me Love My Cat, is a cubism style drawing, about the relationship we girls have with our cats. Your know who you are. Need I call you out?!! This piece is done in colored pencil and markers. Color pencil is applied in many translucent layers resulting in a deep, vibrant color saturation that resembles that of an oil painting.

Only a handful of Churches, 3 in all, and one small Charity work with them. They are Outcast because of Hindu religion and just because they belong to this tribe. Treated, lower than dogs, they are beaten, stoned and chased from towns and villages. They have no Land, and little property. We are now working with these in small settlements. They have no toilets, clean water, no healthcare, no education as they cannot afford the school fees, uniforms and text books. those that can are often chased from schools. Many are Christian, yet the Churches have failed them. They hunt and make beads. If they don’t sell them they go hungry. THIS IS JUST A SAMPLE. I WILL UPLOAD MANY MORE IN A NEW SITE HERE ON RB SOON. Sekhmet means “The Mighty One.” Sister Goddess to Bast, the lion-headed Sekhmet was the avenger / warrior Goddess in ancient Egypt and one of the most powerful of the Egyptian mythological gods and goddesses. She embodied the destructive force of the sun and she meted out divine punishment on behalf of the gods and the pharoahs. Conversely, she was also a goddess of healing and of surgery and medicines. She is usually depicted in red dress to denote her avenging nature and she is also known as the “Eye of Ra”. Original artwork measures 12.5×19 inches and was created with liquid copper leaf, gold paint pen, oil pastels, colored pencils, black art marker on heavy textured Strathmore paper.
