American bald eagle closeup (captive)
The original photo belongs to another fellow Redbubbler who invited me to draw some of her eagle shots after I drew her Baby. I started this long ago, but then I had put it off for awhile, and decided to come back to it last night/this morning. At some point I got carried started shading here and there without looking at the original photo, so the bottom portion is different than the original :P Ths original: /
Went to the Native American Pow Wow this weekend and the Eagle was part of the closing ceremony.

This is the 2nd image collaboration effort with 2 outstanding people and photographers. But this time I took Rick and Deb’s Eagle image and placed it on a slightly different perspective background of the Sundog. We all enjoyed this one as much as the first one already shown here at Redbubble [Freedom’s Light] We hope you enjoy this one as well. Golden Eagle (aquila chrysaetos) looking every bit the king of the skies! As a marmot I suppose I should steer well clear of these critters! Canon EOS 5D MkII with Canon EOS 400mm L f/5.6 handheld

Juvenile Bateleur Eagle (terathopius ecaudatus). I can’t help but be reminded of the Alien Queen in the Alien movies, with its flared head gear. Maybe I need stronger tablets… When this featherball is mature, it will have black feathers and a red beak. Hawk Conservancy, Andover, Hampshire Canon EOS 5D MkII with Canon EF 400mm f/5.6 L
Cheyenne, the very feisty lady Alaskan Bald Eagle (haliaeetus leucocephalus) at the Hawk Conservancy, Andover, Hampshire. We were priviledged to watch her in flight (I’ll post that photo tomorrow). Canon EOS 50D with Canon EF 70-200mm L IS f/4
This large, identified, flying object is an Spotted Eagle Ray, Aetobatus narinari. / I saw it already coming from a distance. On sandy bottom, between coral patches, I tried to hide with holding my breath for a small eternity. I’ve got one shot only. Then the ray escaped.
