My turn to do (another) bird image. I’d like to make a few variations, so might have to use the forums to get some feedback. It’s so much fun to do this-I am sure simple is good. but so many varieties on simple! the tshirt one (now up) is an absolute fav.

tshirt version of one of my fav subjects. / / I love birds, and would love to have them as pets-but know it’s best that they are free. So as close to being pets as they can be-they are fairly domesticated, allowing me to be that close. / / So on a creative venture over the Apec long weekend, i finally did properly photographs these birds I walk past every day. / / I’ve seen the birds sitting in the desolate deciduous trees around the shopping centre for ages, and taken a mobile snap of them a few weeks ago. / / Kinda unfortunately, now spring is here, the leaves have come out-so it’s no longer the sparse tree, with odd shapes of the birds, and little ‘seeds’ hanging down. but this lovely bird couple posed quite nicely-and it did the trick-before the battery ran out! / ~ / Reminds of me…a domestic little couple, paired for life!

Knocked down by a passing car, this pigeon was lying in the road with people walking past without a second glance. In general, we have become so calous to the meaning of life, and through this image I hope to portray that! HDR process used on three images. Made some adjustments to lighting and selective color. Had to clone a bit to fix up two people that were walking by. Best viewed large This is a selection of images from my recent visit to Cradle Mountain, Tasmania. I stayed in the fabulous Cradle Mountain Lodge, and all of the creatures shown were wild and were right on my doorstep. The shots were taken with a Canon 5D and either a 100-400mm lens (wombats, pademelons, and currawong), a 24-105mm lens (landscape scene), or my 105mm macro lens (lizard feet). This composite was uploaded so that a card can be ordered as a special thankyou to a fabulous booking agent who did us a huge favour!
