CLICK HERE to buy this owl from the Phoenix-Appeal raising money for victims of the Victoria Bush Fires This little owl is currently trying to help raise some much needed funds to aid and assist people who have fallen victim to the dreadful bush fires in Victoria at the moment ….the card is available for purchase at Phoenix-Appeal and I would ask that you click on the link and purchase the owl from there instead, so the money will go directly to the appeal…. / 1 Sale so far / / CHUNKIE Mother and Boy Child / / CHUNKIE Calendar Series One now available / / Chunkies are a new series of figurines I am working on .. / / CHUNKIE Birthday Fairy / / CHUNKIE Owl / / CHUNKIE Lotus Love on Golden Pond / / CHUNKIE Sunshine / / CHUNKIE / Elephant / / CHUNKY Diver / / CHUNKY Indian / / CHUNKIE Surfer / / CHUNKIE Ballerina / / CHUNKIE Geisha / / CHUNKIES in love / / CHUNKIE Hula girl / / CHUNKIE China / / CHUNKIE Lollipop Lover / / CHUNKIE Forest / / CHUNKIE Party / / CHUNKIE Pirate / / CHUNKIE Mod Girl / / CHUNKIE Tooth Fairy / / CHUNKIE Mother and Child / / CHUNKIE Wedding / Next in line is CHUNKIE Owl – made originally from black plasticine, he has been photographed with a number of things like bits of forest floor and pebbles and sand…also used a beautiful piece of coral which is the white branches behind the little owl…his eyes, face and wings are all photoshopped in, and his little body’s colour has changed to give it a golden glow. Makes a nice greeting card for anyone for any reason, since owls are very popular. Once the Chunkies are created and photographed, I usually dismantle them to be used in the creation of more chunkies, so I am recycling the plasticine. These Chunkies have been very therapeutic to create over the holidays, whilst taking a break from red bubble and having my family around. I have many more to come, and although I won’t be on RB as much, I hope to also be doing some serious painting this year…so i look forward 2009 with much anticipation …
figurative pastel by Maria Paterson, 1m x 70cm / pastel on colourfix paper FEATURED IN CONTEMPORARY PASTELS / FEATURED IN IMPRESSIONIST ART The circus as a subject has provided me opportunities to explore the human condition. By studying the gestures and theatre of the human performance, I have discovered many symbolic references. In this work “little bee” , the element of trust, striving to reach out, bravery, and the freedom to try, come to the surface, perhaps the changing face of families. The little bee may be carrying those seeds of change “ORIGINAL FOR SALE ” through Hang Up gallery Billinudgel / www-mariapaterson-com.jpg go to profile my website 2010 circus art calendar
