The meaning of mandala comes from Sanskrit meaning “CIRCLE” Even though it may be dominated by other geometric shapes like squares or triangles, a mandala has a concentric structure. Mandalas offer balancing visual elements, symbolizing unity and harmony. The meanings of individual mandalas is usually different and unique to each mandala. For some, the goal of the mandala is to serve as a tool on one’s spiritual journey as it symbolizes cosmic and psychic order. For others, the mandala is used as a counter-balancing mechanism of one’s own psyche, (The spirit or soul) and a way for us to focus or meditate our way into becoming a whole person.

THE PROCEEDS FROM THE SALES OF THIS WORK WILL BE DONATED TO OINK’S FUND I was saddened to hear that Oink had been subject to vicious attacks from thugs. They had been throwing bricks at him and putting washing up liquid in the 15 year old’s water trough. After hearing about the threat to Oink’s safety, David Larkin kindly donated and set up a CCTV sytem in Oink’s field. Other well-wishers are making donations to Oinks fund, which will raise money towards providing further security for Oink, such as a new fence. I think he’s the only one in the UK, and I stumbled across him while out walking my dog in some local fields. His name is Oink! He got stranded in his field during the floods a few months ago. Luckily, he found his way to safety and became quite the celebrity in the animal world! This was edited in a similar way to my other work, Lord of the Water. Please click on this link for details. This is an illustration I did of my favorite musician, Chino Moreno. If you don’t know him. He’s the lead singer of the band Deftones. I didn’t have any reason to do this except as a kind of tribute to a person I admire. I left out some of his tattoos. This was done very quickly so there wasn’t much attention to detail. It’s a fairly simple image. I added the red water as more of an experiment. I wanted another elements in the image, but I never got around to it..
