A favourite sunset shot of mine… Over the Menai Straits Taken from the pier in Bangor, North Wales… I love the colours in this, and when I investigated the little dots that looked like dust bunnies (which you can’t quite see on the RB preview), they turned out to be birds flying amongst the clouds…

This church is very small and uniquely built on a tiny island in the Menai Straits in North Wales. It is linked to the island of Anglesey by a causeway. The grave stones line the path to the church in this strange way, which suits perfectly the angle of light and also the infrared film used in the taking. There is something eerie but beautiful about this treasured little island, and I hope I have represented some of that feeling in the image. Scanned on a Nikon Coolscan V ED at 4000ppi.
