On a recent trip to Geelong I was walking along the beachside at sunrise and there were stranded Jellyfish like this guy everywhere… Some as blue as this, others white/clear..
I took this picture in Helsingborg, Sweden. What caught my attention was the angle and the beautiful colours. I’m a big fan of perspectives so I had to switch on my camera. check what the product looks like here thank you for stopping by!
Well here we are again. This is one of my so called “while talking on the telephone” doodles. / Especially those little ideas, that very often end up being classified as tees, they very often start out as a subconscious doodle on what ever is available while I’m on the phone. / And then maybe at a later stage (a moment when I maybe stay in danger of getting bored), I refine the doodle i Photoshop, and before you know it, I have a new character ore something. / In this case it is another on in a series I’m working on. They all have the same features, with just a ball for a head, and that’s it. Legs, arms ore any hardware is just stuck right on to the head. / But every one of them has features that are distinct for just that one character. And that feature usually indicate a profession ore/and an archetype. / So here’s another one, let’s see if anybody want some Norwegian design on their tee. But I also have more devious and evil bloody imagery on print and canvas too… ore more like Maybe this is your style? Peace and love to you all :-) /
Going back to places I have been over and over before. Different tides reveal formations not seen before which is an incentive to visit the place over and over again…I am now looking forward to the low pressure system currently developing…interesting days ahead
Rock formations at low tide. Taken with my 5D and the EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM lens. This is a 82mm lens and I am currently using Cokin Filters (handheld).....uuuuurrgh. I am very keen to get a Lee Neutral Density Filter set. If you have this setup I would be very interested to hear from you what experiences you have made in regards to vignetting and what Lee components you have mounted on your lens. Thanks heaps
Happy New Year everyone! This shot was taken at the Sunshine Coast just before Christmas 2007….well it’s an old shot isn’t it. Taken with my Canon 5D and the EF 16-35mm f/2.8 L II USM Lens. No Filter has been used but I did some fake HDR processing (single shot) using Dynamic Photo HDR. It’s a fun program and a great alternative to Photomatix.
originally acrylic painting. This painting is based on my experience in ICU (intensive care unit). Some time ago, I was committed to the ICU by an asthma induced heart attack, inflicted by a kitchen fire. I could have easily died then, but I am still here, and I am grateful to be alive. I made a painting based on my emotional turmoil I experienced during my stay in ICU. I had posted a similar sketch once, and my kind friends were very compassionate, but this time, I want you to be strictly objective in reviewing this work. Each component in this painting has very specific meaning and symbolism. I know some reviewers do not want to be told, but this is so personal, and without explanation, I am afraid that true meaning and symbolism of the painting is going to be lost. If you still refuse for the explanation, please skip below: The face at the bottom is I. I described honestly whatever condition I was in. When I was committed to the ICU, one of my pupils was small and other was so large. I had a tube placed through my mouth and down my throat, and I recall it as a quite painful experience. There were always beautiful flowers from my close friends and family, and those eyes in the flowers symbolize their hope and wish for my quick recovery. The root of the flowers, however, grows deep inside me, passes me, and start to expand its roots in the hospital ground, which bounds me to the hospital forever. This symbolizes my fear of inability to fully recovery. There were two other members, which were victims of the fire; my son and my cat, whom you see to my left and above me. The fire was actually caused by my son, and his mental turmoil at the time was probably more than mine. My husband was out of town at the time. Above my head, there is an entrance to another world. As I have described already in ‘The Final Journey’, a dragon is my choice of a transportation for the journey. You see also a rabbit carrying a clock, which shows the time of fire accident. Please also observe the fire surrounds him. After this point (the entrance), there is no time. I can see the bright light through the entrance and I see there are many red dragonflies flying my direction. In Japan, people believe that red dragonfly carries a soul from another world, and those souls are ones I love dearly but now exist only in another dimension, and they are waiting for reunion. On the left side, I am sitting and looking at my shell (marionette). Even if I have the ability to go back to my shell, my heart is torn to two – go or stay. I chose sea as a background; I was raised by the sea and it is always my home; it is my origin. On the right side, there are trees I often saw from my hospital room. One big one was especially spooky at night. As they swung with wind, I saw unrested souls amongst it. The front tree was with color and gave me a little bit of comfort. We say that when people die, their whole life passes before their eyes. From left to right around my head, there were other major events of my lifetime. I was born, went to school, got married and have a kid. I remembered I had a dark school period, and was always looking for my identity. I was good at basketball. At the top of the ICU building, there is always a race between life and death, hope and sorrow, rescuer (as hospital crews) and takers (messengers of death). This painting is dedicated to my son who had always been encouraging me to finish this. This has become a rather long description. I really appreciate for your patient in reading such long description as such as this.
Photograph of an icicle in the sun. It was a clear blue day and so with a little warmth and shadow, it came out pretty colorful….anyhoo :) I love the little angel thingy…what do you call it ? /

By far the most famous fictional ghost ship is The Flying Dutchman. The ship has become synonymous with the phenomenon so that “Flying Dutchman” is often used as a generic term for any apparition-type ghost ship. The term may also refer to a real ship that was reported to be seen – often as an apparition – after sinking, or to a ship found floating with no crewmembers on board. According to folklore, the Flying Dutchman is a ghost ship that can never go home, but must sail “the seven seas” forever. The Flying Dutchman is usually spotted from afar, sometimes glowing with ghostly light. If she is hailed by another ship, her crew will often try to send messages to land, to people long since dead. / Versions of the story are numerous. According to some, the story is originally Dutch, while others claim it is based on the English play The Flying Dutchman (1826) by Edward Fitzball and the novel The Phantom Ship (1837) by Frederick Marryat, later adapted into the Dutch story Het Vliegend Schip (The Flying Ship) by the Dutch clergyman A.H.C. Römer. Other versions include the opera by Richard Wagner (1841) and The Flying Dutchman on Tappan Sea by Washington Irving (1855).

Taken at Rhyll early in the morning when the tide was way out. On the way back from Cowes to Woolamai I thought I might stop by Rhyll as I had never been there before even after all the years we had a house there. I spotted this boat tied up in the mud and couldn’t resist a shot. My shoes sank into the mud real deep and had to give the tripod a good clean. Taken with my Canon 40D with polarising and graduated filters. Featured in the All About Boating group on the 19th of April 2009 One of the photos in my Phillip Island series, please click here to see the rest of my images in the series
