This is one of the areas that inspired me to try my hand at photography. Who can complain of an hour drive to work with views like this? Converted to HDR and post processed by fellow Bubbler Andy Mueller. Thanks Andy! Check out Andy’s work here I am overwhelmed by the response to this shot. To the point of unable to reply a thank you individually. I will check out your work and leave a comment there:) Thank you ALL for your kind comments:)...and taking the time to scroll down to add them. Much appreciated.

I walked down to the garden and found an angel entangled in the trees. It looked like it had been caught, but sat plainly waiting. If I wait long enough I will escape was all it said. Thankyou to my model, Jo and to my helpful assistant Jessica Back Alley Atelier The Ground Angel Series

An angel sits by the water’s edge and gazes toward a home she desperately misses. I suppose I could make this my second autobiographical piece after Foreign World. I may not be an angel, but I miss the town and house I grew up in. The sky is a photo of a fingerpainting I did yesterday (it was way too big to scan) and has only undergone slight colour alteration and slight blurring. Everything else is pure photoshop magic.

Based on the following lines from a poem I wrote: / “For through the stillness of forest trees… floats to earth the remnants of angels’ wings”. The feather is a painting (deliberately made to look torn), the rest was created in Photoshop. /

The doe took a little time off from busy eating for the photo opportunity, although she didn’t want to give up the tasty colorful leaf. By now everyone who has ever seen my work knows that I’m absolutely “addicted” to develop a deep relationship and establish an intimate communication with mule deer (we don’t have a lot of white-tailed deer around here). Everyday I go out there in the early mornings, hoping to have a close encounter! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada

THE MELIAI (or Meliae) were Oread nymphs of the mountain ash, born to Gaea (the Earth) when she was impregnated by the blood of the castrated god Ouranos (Sky). They were the mothers of the third, Bronze Race, of mankind. Their sons were nursed on the sweet manna (Greek meli) of the ash (Greek melia), and crafted spears from the branches of their mothers’ trees. They were an overly warlike race who incurred the wrath of Zeus and were destroyed in the floods of the Great Deluge. / / “The Meliai were probably the same as the honey-nymph (meliai) nurses of the god Zeus, Ida and Adrasteia. The manna (meli) of the ash and the honey (meli) of bees were believed to be related, both being regarded as an ambrosial food fallen from heaven. In Hesiod’s Theogony they were born alongside the Erinyes, avengers of the castration of Ouranos, and the Gigantes, who in Hesiod appear to be the Kourete-protectors of the infant Zeus. As children born of the castration, it would be appropriate that they and their brothers should play a role in the downfall of Kronos, perpetrator of the crime. / / They were probably also identified with the Hekaterides and Kabeirides, the sister-wives of the Kouretes, Daktyloi and Kabeiroi. / / Source: theoi.com

My dog River posing for a portrait in the snow. She has ALWAYS liked her picture being taken since she barely opened her eyes at two weeks of age. Her litter mates ran around when the camera aimed at them but she stood in attention every time a photo opportunity showed up! :) I’m sure she’d be glad that I donate the proceed of the sale of her photos to Nature Canada as she loves woods and her deer friends as much as I do! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada.

A pencil, photoshop, illustrator mix. / Artwork based on the song by Switchfoot. Hello, good morning, how you do? / What makes your rising sun so new? / I could use a fresh beginning too / All of my regrets are nothing new / So this is the way that I say I need You / This is the way that I’m Learning to breathe / I’m learning to crawl / I’m finding that You and You alone can break my fall / I’m living again, awake and alive / I’m dying to breathe in these abundant skies Hello, good morning, how you been? / Yesterday left my head kicked in / I never, never thought that / I would fall like that / Never knew that I could hurt this bad So this is the way I say I need You / This is the way that I say I love You / This is the way that I say I’m Yours / This is the way, this is the way

This is a little bridge in my piece of the woods after the first snow. All is calm and quiet. Even the deer seemed to be walking gingerly – not wanting to disturbed the “peace”. Some may even say that the picture portrays a feeling of “eerie-ness” but for me, it’s just the quietness and serenity. This is why I’d like to do my part to keep nature this way! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada

For really stupid reasons I hadn’t seen my last surviving grandfather or spoken to him in four years, other than on the phone when he would call. He was admitted to the hospital yesterday. Tonight my father, stepmom, my sister and I went to see him. He was asleep, so we never got to talk to him. The nurse said he could live anywhere from 24 hours to a week. I watched him for several minutes, listening to his laboured breathing, knowing that soon he would be reunited with his wife, who died 11 years earlier. He would be free from pain. He’d be able to walk without his walker. He’d know heaven’s peace and eternal rest. But for now, he was caught somewhere between this world and the afterlife. He died less than 2 hours after our visit. I had already made this artwork and I was in the process of writing this poem when we got the call that he had died. Both this artwork and poem are dedicated to him and his 93 years. Somewhere In Between / ~ / Too humble to be heaven’s worth / Too beautiful to be our fragile earth / Is this just some intangible dream? I walk toward this brilliant light / With wings that carry me into the night / Yet still, I hear myself breathe. I hear voices and clearly sense / A peace beyond human transience, / Something beautiful and divine, I believe I hear the infinite chorus / Of all those who’ve passed before us / But I realize these voices lie not ahead, but behind.

I’ve decided to learn from successful rebubblers out there and be more proactive :p (I love browsing, lazy to write), and decided to pimp up my profile page a little with some of the ‘HOT’ sellers…ehem… just to give everyone an idea of what sells from my collection. I haven’t sold any cards on ‘Bloom’ and ‘Companion’ yet, but I added them in anyway…..just to add some variety :D Who knows, maybe I’ll get lucky. hehehehe…...
