  • These three B/W images were taken in Broken Hill some time ago. I love the feel of cememetrys and old abandoned churchs. They seem continue to collect auras and vibrations of the spirt over the passage of time. This lovely old stone angel has a real presence about her and seems to be a living thing somehow. I hope you like them.

  • ...These most recent pieces (my best work yet) reflect how I choose to view myself, life and everything it ‘that is’...!! I would describe life in the same way I do myself…. a mess… but a BEAUTIFUL one!!! ...These latest pieces would not have been brought to life without the inspiration of my BEST friend. She not only inspired this latest work but the title for this piece too! =)

  • Sanctuary – Middle English, from Old French sainctuarie, from Late Latin s?nctu?rium, from Latin s?nctus, sacred, sanctify. Sacred place, especially the most sacred part of a sacred place. In ancient times and in the Middle Ages, a sanctuary served as asylum, a place of refuge for persons fleeing from violence or from the penalties of the law. To injure a person in sanctuary or to remove him from it forcibly was considered sacrilege. In Egypt the temples of Osiris and Amon offered the right of sanctuary. Under the Greeks all temples enjoyed this privilege, and certain ones, like the Temple of Apollo at Delphi, were known throughout the Mediterranean world as a haven for fugitives. In Rome fugitive slaves often sought sanctuary. Christian churches were given the right of sanctuary by Constantine I. Abuses of sanctuary, tending to encourage crime, led to its curtailment and abolition. Modern penal codes no longer recognize the right of sanctuary.

  • Sometimes Angels fall--hard upon the jagged shards of man-tattered wings of abuses here-shattered pieces, justly pricking feet of the guilty-smeared delicate hues-patterns interrupted by soul-holes torn-departure-far too soon-alone-words unspoken-screaming us awake!-from tender slumber encounters-wrapped in offence’s rubble-questions haunting-slanders taunting-souls left wanting-Oh, to feel her touch again-to bury my face, in her golden gardenia locks-to fill both lungs, and soul with her sacred scent-never exhale it out again-to see her, see me-to kiss her pillows of softest pink, just once more—sometimes Angels fall. / DC

  • DEATH, THE FRIEND If I could be forever young, / And all the year were May; / If all the songs were yet unsung, / And night escaped the day; If one I’ve loved were near me yet, / If I might reach his hand, / Or if—or if I might forget / Or ever understand; If there were no adventuring / Beyond the stars unfurled, / Then I might be content to cling / For ever to the world. / ~Frank Fisher Slocomb This was taken at the Lorenzo cemetery in St. Augustine Florida.

  • Against a dramatic sky, a carved stone angel sits atop a pedestal, cast in a beam of light.

  • created from my own images…...... Just beyond the sunset / Someone waits for me / Just beyond the sunset / Lies my destiny / Where the purple mountains / Lie in deep tranquillity / There I’ll find the treasure / Of love eternally Just beyond the sunset / Waits someone so fair / Just beyond the sunset / All alone they wait there / Their hair is golden / The colour of the sand / Their eyes sparkle in the night / Like diamonds in your hand Just beyond the sunset / Lies a home for me / Where the world is peaceful / Like a paradise should be / Just beyond the sunset / Someday is where you’ll find me

  • I actually created this for a CD Cover but I liked it so much I thought I would upload as a print as well :) You’ll notice this is a bit different for me, mainly because it includes a male angel, rather than my usual female model… Full view please :) ...::Stock Photo Credit::.. / Angel / Background / Crow / Dove / Texture If you like this piece, please check out: / / /
