The Jama Masjid in Old Delhi, India – I believe India’s largest Mosque – one of my favourite buildings in the world. I love Islamic art and architecture. I wanted to create something different when photographing this beautiful building. Architecture pictures can be boring and lifeless – I didn’t want to represent the Jama Masjid in this way, because it is so full of life. I asked the boy in the foreground to run through the flock of pigeons so they would fly upwards, away from the building. It was a nice coinsidence that he was positioned in the doorway. This effect achieved, to me, looks like angels flying out of the Mosque. Angels of Allah. 5000+ views

La Recoleta in the centre of Buenos Aries, is a vast and extraordinary necropolis that has becomeone of the most relevant historical and artistic monuments of the country. It’s were the remains of Eva Peron lie. And it’s just staggeringly beautiful and massive. It’s a world class example of funeral architecture and has been declared a heritage site. Still using film here. Ifford HP5. Then given its dark sepia cast to intensify the nostalgic and removed qualities in the image.

Yes…it’s another random and spontaneous “still life” I chose to shoot while reading. :)
The brother and sister recognized River from last fall and they both came to say “hello”. The “brand-new” fawn followed suit as her brother and sister seemed to know us and thought of us as “friends”. :) Before they circled my overjoyed dog and they all ran off together, they first make sure that they got their spring morning “family photo” taken. :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park
The weeks-old fawn kept trying to lick the “itch” on her new coat. :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park
The fawn was experiencing some difficulties as all “yummy” treats are high-up. :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park

The subtitle is “Angels Protect Me on My Journey”, a prayer on waking, on getting out on the right side of bed, on hitting the road, on thinking a new thought. Nice supersized. Oil on canvasboard. Actually a very small painting, and this is a detail which has a lot of nice drama going on in it. The color from the original is slightly altered, but I liked the terra cotta – green kind of wash I got by fooling with it in post op, or whatever you brilliant photographers on RB call that.
Featured in the Statues and Such group and / Featured in the Amazing Graves group (2x). Angel on the Hietaniemi cemetery in Helsinki The Hietaniemi cemetery (in Swedish language Sandudds begravningsplats) is located in the Töölö district of Helsinki, the capital of Finland. It is the location for Finnish state funeral services. The cemetery includes a large military cemetery section for soldiers from the capital fallen in the wars against the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany: in the Winter War (1939–1940), the Continuation War (1941–1944) and the Lapland War (1944–1945) In the centre of the military cemetery are the tombs of unknown soldier and marshal C.G.E. Mannerheim. Other notable sections of the cemetery are the Jewish and Russian orthodox cemeteries, the cemetery of the Finnish Guard, the Artist’s Hill and the Statesman’s Grove. Hietaniemi means “sand spit” and is a headland located centrally in Helsinki. The foot of the Angel of the North: Newcastle, UK. The awesome Angel of the North is the largest sculpture in Great Britain which measures 65 feet tall, with a wonderful wingspan of 175 feet. Antony Gormley’s Angel of the North is now, probably, the most famous publick work of modern art. There’s something magical and strange about the Angel, you have to be there to feel it though. / How lovely on the mountains are the feet of those who bring Good News.

Angel just turned 5 years old and until recently was very well. In February 2009 she became ill, and blood tests showed she was HIV+. We have been treating here with HIV/AIDS drugs since then, now she gets a good stable diet as well. The drugs will only work if the carrier has a high protein, high fiber diet. My deep passion and inspiration to help as many suffering children in remote villages in Africa, as I and the Charity can. We depend on Gods provisions and your kindness. It is with your donations we could do this. Please keep on donating and Praying. You really do make a difference. Some foolish Big organizations pump many free AIDS drugs into Africa and other countries, But many will not work as the extreme poor cannot afford good quality food. both Good quality food and the drugs work well together, and will not work effectively independent of each other.
