...These most recent pieces (my best work yet) reflect how I choose to view myself, life and everything it ‘that is’...!! I would describe life in the same way I do myself…. a mess… but a BEAUTIFUL one!!! ...These latest pieces would not have been brought to life without the inspiration of my BEST friend. She not only inspired this latest work but the title for this piece too! =)
Just a ghost, a memory from our past… While the Irish where getting more & more hope on the road to america, this was only a premonition of their destiny on this new land… Inspired from this song and from all the Irish People (Hi)story : Paddy’s Lamentation/Ships are Sailing [so listen to this phantom’s chant…] My gallery is Copyright © Wandering Soul. My good friend Sally Omar has felt inspired to write this awesome poem, after viewing ‘Dark Angel’,,it is a powerful poem and brings new perspective to my art work, well done Sally.. DARK ANGEL, by Sally Omar He looked at her through a serpent’s eyes / It was always do or die / Never can you or would you please / Not even a simple tease His love was likened to the fires of hell / But she was lonely no one to tell / Violence wrapped her life complete / She always trying to be indiscreet Afraid of his anger and his wrath / She was led down a violent path / Doing everything he said was right / Walking the street late at night Coming in with cash in hand / That is all that was in his plan / He lured her from a train station / And led her with his manipulations A young girl … a runaway / Afraid of life..afraid to pray / Mostly afraid of his violent outbursts / Beaten, threatened and cursed She went out at night alone / Picking up men on her own / Wanting to go home and be hugged once more / She knew her mother would be at the door She felt her sins so evil and wicked / No one would understand how explicit / So she’ll continue to walk until she goes limp / Because of the actions of her pimp DARK ANGEL is her name / A little runaway in so much pain / Weary tired and on the wrong track / Dreams broken..she can’t go back

Angel Model from ~b-e-c-k-y-stock at DA Fairy Tale Based on The Angel by Hans Christian Andersen Plot summary A child has died, and an angel is escorting him to Heaven. They wander over the earth for a while, visiting the child’s favorite places. Along the way they gather flowers to transplant into the gardens of Heaven. The angel takes the child to a poverty-stricken area where a dead field lily lies in a trash heap. The angel salvages the flower explaining that it had cheered a crippled boy before he died. The angel then reveals he was the boy. Nov 08

pencil on paper (Stonehenge) drawing This was one of those experimental drawings – drawing on top of another drawing… At the time I was thinking of that expression of seeing the world through rose colored glasses and I wondered what the world would look like through fairie colored ones… This drawing has been exhibited widely. It’s been to New York twice. It went into the heart of Ivy League USA by being selected into the Cambridge Art Association’s exhibition a few years ago – it showed alongside some very minimal abstract furry cubes. (love that juxtaposition) ALSO available in my Clothing section: / The archival matted and framed original is for sale. Email me if interested.

Please view large ETA – tonight I went out to pick some lemons for dinner, and saw some tiny bright lights. I’ve only ever seen them once before in my life, but I realised they were fireflies. I called Kate (the subject here) to see them – and strangely enough, she started dancing around, trying to catch these beautiful creatures, at one point in exactly the same way as in this shot. / Strange, but beautiful!
