The Loss describes the fact that we all lost something, then we feel so lonely. It can be something or someone that made of us what we are, that made that we felt alive. / But finally all those events that hurt us so much built us, make us stronger and give us something in addition, something that will make us special! We only notice that (for those who notice it) a very long time later… In this creation this loss is reprensentated by the snail’s cockle, like if before she was in it, this was on her back, just like when a snail leave it. / But look at her back, ya see what she got in return? Wings. / The tree branches on her head symbolize her thoughts, so deeply rooted in her mind that she cannot see the good days and hope that are coming to her! This represents our blocked thoughts, when we feel so bad that we cannot help from having dark and depressive thoughts. / She also has elvish ears, the magicks she cannot see yet! photoshop photos, PS brushes and model is (by) me / working with many layers of different transparencies and blending modes and six photos (all my own) + painting and smudging to make the ears and to attach the wings to the body. the orbs were painted and reflections added and distorted with the liquify filter.

A Jungian mandala print from one of my canvas originals. The centre butterflies symbolize the soul growing and transforming and protected by unicorns (symbolizing magic, innocence and myth). Guardian angels watch over the transformation night and day. This is just one of my many mandalas. They are created from meditation and often paint themselves – I just wield the brush! Angel Model from ~b-e-c-k-y-stock at DA Without Words Based on The Angel by Hans Christian Andersen Plot summary A child has died, and an angel is escorting him to Heaven. They wander over the earth for a while, visiting the child’s favorite places. Along the way they gather flowers to transplant into the gardens of Heaven. The angel takes the child to a poverty-stricken area where a dead field lily lies in a trash heap. The angel salvages the flower explaining that it had cheered a crippled boy before he died. The angel then reveals he was the boy.

This Fairy was painted using watercolour and acrylic. I scanned the finished piece into the computer and then enhanced it digitally. She was created for my youngest daughter Emily who was afraid at night. The night-time fairy now watches over her in her bedroom and guess what???? She’s not scared now!!! Yey Night-time Fairy :)
