However common they may be, birds of paradise never cease to fascinate me. This was taken at City Hall in Beverly Hills where I was struck by the beautiful architecture and landscaping. I thought this particular floral was / more unusual than the others with striking and vibrant colors and an unusual blue spear that added to its unique appeal in the beautiful ambience of old California architecture. /

This was taken at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles. It is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. This is probably the most different photo I have submitted in a long time. I spend most of my photographing time in the mountains 300 miles from my home. I live less than an hour from L.A. but I rarely venture there. There was an art festival going on and it sounded fun so I went.

Please view larger. This is Aussie. She is most common in the Great Barrier Reef in Australia- hence the name “Aussie”, She is a Coral Beauty Angelfish and she is the sweetest fish in my tank. Whenever I walk by she follows me as fast as she can across the tank. Very common on the Great Barrier Reef, the Coral Beauty Angelfish is also known as the Twospined or Dusky Angelfish. The body and head are a deep royal blue, highlighted with an iridescent orange to yellow. The Coral Beauty Angelfish is one of the easiest angels to care for. / It requires a 30 gallon or larger tank with lots of hiding places and live rock for grazing.
