And the wind began to blow and all the trees began to bend / And the world in its cold way started coming alive / And I stood there like a businessman waiting for a train / And I got ready for the future to arrive - The Mountain Goats, “Woke Up New” Model: Rachael

This writing is but a pale reflection of the visual work which inspired it, REFLECT by one of Red Bubble’s true gems, Cynthia-spiritinme. Thank you Cynthia for inspiring us once again! I would encourage everyone who hasn’t met Cynthia (spiritinme) or been blessed by her work, to stop by her page and see what the rest of us already know. : )

The bushfires a cuople of years ago in Victoria’s alps have left a lot of gnarled burnt out snowgum stumps but there are shoots slowly starting out again. This is on Mount Hotham, close to JB Plain. Any commission from sales of this image is donated to the Phoenix appeal for the current Victorian bushfire fund.
As I awoke to this first day of 2009, I am grateful to the breath of life and the beating of my heart, in rhythm with all those I love, respect and honor. As a peacemaker making resolutions (decisions as future actions), I decided that a RE-Solution was more appropriate, under the circumstances. RE- meaning ANEW and solutions, meaning the solving of a problem. As the vibrational energy sets my heart afire with the light of PEACE, the ONE feeling, being and vibration I wish most for our planet and humanity, I contemplated just how to activate them. Calling forth images of PEACE, I chose 3 images: / This image of myself bathed in the light of peace and love; holding hands with all those I love, honor and respect; and, Nature thriving again and respected by all. I allowed myself to be anchored with the feelings that these images emanated. / I then wondered what these vibrations would smell like and the first thought that came to my mind was Sandalwood, a scent that always calms and grounds me. / My imagination swirled with a rainbow of colors to choose from, that also reminded me of this feeling I wish to emanate, and my personal choice was Indigo, the color that resonates with perception, thought and morality, as well as in-sight. / Choose a phrase, was what ‘popped up’ next in my mind’s eye … as I heard the Dalai Lama say, “When we feel love and kindness toward others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also develop inner happiness and peace.” / Synonomous words of Peace to enhance the frequency, choose two…tolerance and non-violence came to mind. / Music always seals the deal for my soul, so choosing a song to accompany this recipe was in order, so many to choose from and low and behold from my 300 CD player, Robert Palmer begins singing It takes every kind of People – so this will be my theme song for this vibration. / What actions or behavior can I do daily that will keep this vibration or light shining, easy answers came…continue meditating and communicating with people around the world. / Writing out these details made them more concrete, visible, touchable and my training knows that if posted around my space and read upon daily (at least for the next 21 days), it will become a regular expression of the state of being that I have chosen for my Peaceful intentions. Inspired with the help of Debbie Ford ;) What images, smell, color, phrase, synonyms, song and behavior do you wish to emanate for 2009? This morning I rose to create from a place of peace and hope. / I made this piece from more layers of my own original photos than I could even keep up with! LOL! / (at least 12) / Underneath it all is my Son Matty Smiling—-he makes a very Cool Jesus—I think. DISCOVERED ANEW / by Dale Crum In the first loving kisses of morning light / In the fluttering wisps of waking wrens / In the ancient flowing flight of traveling birds / In the crimson fades becoming golden rays / In the last words of wisdom from a drowsy owl / In the bouncing dance of a playful fawn / In the gentle whispering pines above / In the glorious glistening of frosted leaves below / In the changing cloud faces that smile down upon us / In the gurgling giggles of cold water’s journeys For all those who do rise and seek thee / For all those looking upward to find thee / For all those who have eyes to see / For all those who have ears to hear / For all those who stand silent and still / For all those who breathe in deeply thy blessings You do patiently wait to be discovered anew

Here is another image of the lovely clear wing butterfly I have already photos of on my finger…this time he is on my hand when I first found it. I actually thought it was dead, but I now assume it had just hatched from its cocoon or chrysalis, I picked it up off the ground under a tree and took it home, just to see what it would do, after a while I noticed it started to move and lift its legs up more, all on my hand, the first image of this type is of the butterfly lying sideways on my hand…he eventually gets up to this, erect standing up, ready to fly…..but he wouldn’t fly away….that was when I took the My Friend, The Clear Wing photos from earlier. / This image shows his wings glistening, so fresh and new, just having hatched I’d say, it seems to have a little knob on it’s underside too, maybe where it was attached, also why it was groggy and eventually finally found it’s legs. /
The day awakens / so clear / so cool / so fresh / so new

Acrylic on Canvas..approx. 80hours / 1220cm x 975 cm / 4ft x 3ft We are living in the time of ‘a new earth’. All epochs have lived in this same time… a new earth is always being born..it is a continual process, just as our personal lives are. / As we now enter a phase where planet earth is in survival mode, (not due to natures way but mans destruction) we too may find survival issues of our own surface. / What she goes through, so it is with our personal lives…if she has dwindling resources, so do many of us, as she shifts and erupts, so do we! It is a challenging time, yet there is always ‘hope’..this powerful emotion lives in the depths of our soul and her soul. As we are moved to take responsibility for our own wellbeing through care and love for ourselves, we come to care for and love her. We are inseparable, Gaia and Humanity. Each Human being is a cell in the body of humanity…in the body of the Earth. / This Painting expresses a time when we have the opportunity to see anew, feel anew and create anew…....It is ‘Anew Earth’ / with love …Jewd
