  • Sunset at Bowna, NSW, Australia

  • HDR image of a Steinway Piano at a friends’ home. She’s quite an accomplished artist herself, she painted the images behind the piano in Tuscany Italy. I’m looking for a good title for this image, this piano hasn’t been played in years. If you can think of a title that jumps out at you, I’d appreciate you posting it for me. Thanks. • The wetlands at Albury, NSW.

  • First of all, big kudos go to fellow bubbler Kevin Kroeker, who gave me a great idea of some add’l post processing steps which I had not tried before, until this image. HDR Image of an antique shiny black car with tons of chrome. I don’t know why, but I absolutely love this image. Hope you do as well. My art with 1000+ views

  • A bit of biffo between the twins today, had to photograph the mediation. Hmmm, is that wrong, teehee!

  • Affirmative Tower, both engines are on fire – we will ditch just short of / runway Zero Three…. pray for us all ….. My art with 1000+ views

  • A montage: two portraits, an image of a headstone and textured image. Created by using layers and layer masks of differing opacity and playing with the blending mode of each layer as I go. Trying to get the relationship of the young lady to the older man to the gravestone in context seemed the hardest for me.

  • a Tassie sunrise. Shearwater, Tasmania

  • Funny how something so ordinary, can be so interesting. Captured on my way out of the Bruton Parish Episcopal Church, in Colonial Williamsburg. One of the oldest Episcopal churches in the United States, Bruton has been serving members since 1715. Famous past worshipers include presidents Washington, Tyler, Monroe and Jefferson. My art with 1000+ views

  • Patiently waiting on a letter from you …. One of those, “Oh, I’m gonna have to stop the car and take this shot” kind of moments. I love how the two left-most trees almost form an arch. Incidently this road is called Covered Bridge Road and leads to Pennsylvania’s Oldest Covered Bridge built in 1830 RIP John. My art with 1000+ views

  • The path to faith ….. the bridge to somewhere ….. Taken with Nikon D200 and Tokina 12-24mm f/4 lens. HDR processing applied.

  • I wonder where this path leads? During a motorcycle trip to Georgia, I passed by this scene and just had to turn around. The ground fog was just wicked, it was shrouding this path which I presume belongs to a rural farm. Taken with the Nikon D300 and Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 lens. HDR processing and Orton effect applied, as well as some dodge & burn.

  • One of the reasons I love Redbubble so much, is the inspiration that other artists give me. Some time ago my australian mate Michael Bermingham posted Old Yanchep Inn which to me is a timeless classic. Then Shelly Hiebert posted Sacred which is just a fantastic image. I always wanted to get a shot similar to both of those and digging through my archives back to 2007, I came across this image I took with my Nikon D50 in the Madison State Capitol building. A little HDR processing, converted to B&W, little noise reduction applied, some Dodge & Burn (which Kimberly Palmer first introduced me to) and this is what I came up with. Please also look at Michael’s and Shelly’s image, as well as Kimberly’s work.

  • Found this old moss covered VW Bug amongst the woods in rural Pennsylvania. It looks like it has been resting here for years, yet it still is smiling. When viewed in Large, it almost has a 3-D effect like Kevin pointed out. Herman is in this shot as well …..

  • Ricky Gervais playing Andy Millman playing “Ray” in “When the Whistle Blows” in Extras

  • What can I say … Sometimes it all does come together perfect. I absolutely love how this turned out, hope you do as well. Image made with a Nikon D200 And Tokina 12-24mm lens. Slight touch of HDR post processing applied, converted to Sepia Tones in Adobe Digital Lightroom.

  • A piece taken for the ‘Challenge Weekly’ Group challenge No. 2. The words are from the song ‘Broken Heart’ by Motion City Soundtrack. Shot with my D80 then converted to B&W… enjoy…

  • One of those mornings when a photographers’ dream seems to fulfill itself. A few of you sure will “see” right through the title on this image. One of my alltime favorite places to photograph, the Whaleheadhunt Club in Currituck, NC. Best viewed in Large format.

  • 83 year old pilot conducting some pre-flight checks in the de Havilland DHC-1 Chipmunk, while his wingman ensures the radio is set properly. These are the types of shot I just wished I would take more of. I am beginning to see the value of the human aspect of photography. Taken with Nikon D200, Nikkor 24-120mm lens, post-processed with ReDynaMix for slight HDR effect, Dodge and Burnt in CS3, and final Digital Lightroom edits. Check out this slideshow I created from that day This image is currently on display at the Walls Fine Art gallery in Downtown Norfolk, VA.
