Canon Powershot with IR filter “As Is” / Brandywine Falls Ohio / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / I have been waiting for this kind of shot for a long time. I found a new toy its my infrared lens. Of course I have many different shots just like this :-) I posted a photo in color as well at a different time called – Approaching / Autumn / ....................................................................................................................... / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / Click to View By Category: / -—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / - Waterfall Photos / - Selective Coloring / - Infrared Photos / - Black and White Photos / - Animal Photos / - Downtown Cleveland ............................................................................................................... / ................................................................................................................ /
After shooting the early light of the morning down at Cape Schanck I thought I’d take a quick shot of the sun light reflecting off the large boulders in this little cove. I love the warm colours and shapes of wet boulders in the sun. If you ever go down to this place when the tied is high and the weather a little on the wild side, the massive waves that come crashing in to this little space throw these boulders around making an awesome rumbling sound. A must see if you live close enough to the Mornington Peninsula.
A sun sits behind a smiling cloud, in a game of hide and seek
Even a broken vessel can be beautiful.. / /
This picture was taken at the same place and same time as «Liquid diamonds»but one month later when the lake was beginning to freeze. An early morning with the golden sun rising. The title is the iCandor idea,Thank you.
Fire and Ice. It’s winter here in the Netherlands and i shot this at sunrise after a very cold night. Shot with my sigma 10-20 @10 on a d70s +f/8 + Nd grad filter.
In July 2007 I did my first ever snow shoe walk from Falls Creek out past Pretty Valley to Tawonga Huts and the Niggerheads then over Mt Fainter and down to Bogong Village. The downhills aren’t as fun as my crossies but the uphill and flats are a dream much easier manoeuvrability for photography too. Great trip had some good weather (the following day was a whiteout). Love the way f22 on my fisheye lens creates this sunburst effect, doesn’t work very well with a dark foreground but with this highly reflective snow it’s a winner. Just after I completed this trip I got a phone call from someone who had heard about an exhibition I did earlier in the year and who had specifically wanted a picture of the Victorian Alps, they ended up buying a 12”x30” framed print of this one. A Phoenix emerges from the fiery breath of a great Silver Dragon, as they fly around a sun mandala. Pastel pencils on black bristol board, 32” x 40”. In Chinese literature, the Dragon represents the male, or Yang, while the phoenix represents the female, or Yin. They complement one another, creating balance. When together, they are the symbol of marital happiness and harmony. Featured in Dragon’s Fire group.

Painting by Dorina Costras / Acrylic on canvas / 54/58 cm / Original for sale __________ “The leaves grown dark / By the autumn wind fall / Cover the ground, / Cover your body, / The wrapping of your being / That hides your true ego. / The warm dew of your eyes flows, / Nothing is there to wait for her, / It gets lost in the void, / Nothing needs their torpor. / Glitter in the sun / That passes through your body / And immerses it in candid dazzle, / The night is coming, the Orient is dancing, / Whirling in his veils, voluptuous dance / Wraps the world. / .And the wood that contains you, / Oh my goddess. And all is mystery, / Possible enigma, incomprehensible fear.” Gothica – The Pure Nymph lyrics
