“This is a commissioned portrait of an Andalusian Stallion named Caesar. This beautiful painting depicts him prancing among the beautiful hanging moss and trees of his southern home. When his owner happily received the portrait, she had no way of knowing that years later, the portrait would be instrumental in saving Caesar’s life.” – Kim McElroy Visit Kim’s website at www.spiritofhorse.com

I quite like this one. / I have always had a strong disliking for close-up facial shots of horses. I find them hard to use and usually end up ditching the whole thing because it looks crammed. / I’m not sure how I got this to work… It just fell into place. / Gaussian blur on the horse and background, one texture used, pretty original fonts, and ta dah! / I love the honest and knowing look in the horses eyes. For me, that stands out the most. / I did this one quite a while ago, and I realised as I looked back over it… I don’t think I overly like the texture. I dunno, let me know what you think x) —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-- I would love any comments, tips or advice on what I could do next time to improve this or others I do in the future. Please keep in mind that this is NOT for sale, as I have gained permission to use the stock from various artists under the conditions that the pieces will not be resold. The images, textures and fonts are NOT my own, I have gained permission to use them from the creators. All I did, was put it together to produce a single image. Thankyou.
