Back To Basic. Mamiya RB67 + 50mm Sekor ——- With all the recent product line up announcement on Canon and Nikon camps (1Ds Mark III + 40D, D300 and D3), I think I just fed up with all the gizmos and specification each one has. Owh well, I just want to go back to the basic, learning the aperture, shutter, ISO … learn how to read the lights … and learn how to translate them to the art of photography. As long as I know that these three elements are there in a camera … and as long as they are working … I am delighted :D Isn’t that what is photography about? / It’s not about getting the latest gadget. / It’s you, It’s us. We’re the one who ‘creates’ the art of photography. Learn it. —-- Test flash, using 2 off-shoe flash. 30D + 50 f/1.8 Manual flash / 580 EX II (Master) with off-shoe cord, 1/64 on top of the camera. / 580 EX (Slave) 1/64 at camera right. Learning how to show a balance of shadow and highlight in a simple set up. Just craving for learning the art of photography. / Whether its landscape, urban, architecture, photojournalism. / And now, still life/studio style. Never.Stop.Learning. / Not.Gadget.Lusting. Regards, / Sidqie Djunaedi

Yay! I’m painting again! I finally got some studio space, and can paint. Painting is cheaper than therapy, and it’s way more effective, to boot. This is an untitled abstract painting in acrylic, done over the weekend. I don’t really do abstract, so I decided to try it just for fun. It was a blast to make, and I like the painting. I hope to do more from time to time, just for fun.
