This is a drypoint etching. I am currently working on this etching some more. This is one of the prints I did today. I will be printing more and changing this in the future. For now this is the result of hours of scratching away into acetate and hours of printing. I am still in my printing overalls and I can smell the ink. Ohhhhh, you say, but God I love it! Ink under my nails, ink in my hair, ink smell, ink on my face…..if I could I would camp out in the print room. I am a printmaking Junkie! Billy

My Divinity
by raaeBehind the skin, my fragility and a skeletal impracticality. I am only pieces of you, held together with paper glue. My divinity: my only sanctuary. All in all I’m just furniture. Just another piece taking you one step further from the perfect living room set. In these 4 walls that hold me, keep me safe under sound and bare within its grip. My wooden heart it sings no more. This dress I wear becomes the floor. You can lean on me, have a drink on me, leave your mark all over me, you can eat off me, rest your head on me, press yourself on top of me, kick the back until its quiet. Amy Studt

This is a pastel drawing of AmyLee, She is currently traveling around Australia…so I called it Amy’s Travels.. (its not an Australian landscape though, I just made up the landscape from my head…..) This is an A1 Size Pastel. Its my first complete pastel, usually I do watercolour and ink as well. I found the pastels a challenge. I only hope I get better at it. I love the colour though…its been fun. I will make more improvements on this pastel. For now this is it…and when I am completely finished I will just reload it here. Thank you Belinda

This is the first edition. I made 20 yesterday. HOwever I feel this plate can be pushed to a whole new level. So I will be working on this plate and re-uploading it in a week or two. I love this new series of plates I am doing in the print room. I love exploring the image in a drawing, then a print and perhaps next year a painting. I love doing my girls in landscapes…..I hope you like this….it pairs up with the “Dreaming of LIfe” etching. I hope to have a show next year so I am working hard on these prints. UPDATED WITH EDITION 3 on 6/8/08 This print is inked up with different coloured inks and then rubbed back carefully to get the different effects of colour. Belinda

Featured in Neighborhoods May 3, 2009. BEST VIEWED FULL SIZE! Another lovely little shop in Old Towne Ellicott City, Maryland, the architecture of which is typical of the entire town … June 10, 2008. Image taken with the Nikon D40x and the 18-135mm lens, hand-held. Shutter was at 1/200 and aperture was f/7.1. Finished off in Photoshop and hdr in Photomatix with one original jpeg image, duplicated and lightened and darkened to create three images. HDR processed in Photomatix at e.v. spacing 2. A tiny bit of local history for Ellicott City, from Wikipedia … In 1772, three Quaker brothers from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, chose the picturesque wilderness, upriver from Elk Ridge Landing (known today as Elkridge, Maryland) to establish a flour mill. John, Andrew, and Joseph Ellicott founded Ellicott’s Mills, which became one of the largest milling and manufacturing towns in the East. In 1867, a city charter was secured for Ellicott’s Mills, and the name was changed to “Ellicott City”. WOODLAND MAGIC SERIES I had a little break from my Asian works last night and created 2 little Fairies for my Woodland Magic Series. This one was inspired by a picture of Amy-lee Foley / Kindly used with permission for the Bubblers Portrait Group. I didnt spend much time creating a true likeness, but sure had a lot of fun with this. I’m sure I’ll want to draw Amy again. / Thank you Amy for being such a charming, sweet muse
