Not much longer now and Spring will be here and with it comes the late night cruises, the smell of racing fuel, the sound of 50s music, and the roar of good ol American Hotrod Horsepower! HDR Processed, thoughts welcomed!
Featured in ‘Cards: Animals and pets’ (July 2009 – Thank you!) Pino is a wonderful nandu (Rhea americana), that lives on the local children’s farm. / Isn’t he cute? Update July 2009: Pino unfortunately died a little while ago. The children and I were sad but glad that we still have some lovely portraits of him. Pino again: /

The Fox Theater is a staple on Peachtree Street, the main artery through Atlanta. The Fox was built in the late 1920’s but was nearly demolished in the 1970’s. While many of the other grand movie houses of Atlanta were lost, the Fox was saved by citizens and continues to draw audiences today. This shot was taken with my fisheye lens as I wanted to try for something a little different and I really liked the result in this application.
This photo was taken just outside of Wallace, Michigan. One thing you have to love about Michigan, they keep old buildings right where they were. I love how Michigan preserves its history. Please View Larger

Welcome to my art, circa 2006. As you can tell, I’ve always been enamored with texture. These are textures overlayed onto my own photography of abandoned farmhouses in Waterville, Washington. This one is the first in a series of four. My sweet friend Wendy has always loved these, and so – I dedicate this long overdue posting of the work to her.
