My second rendition of this shot…..I will miss this place as it has now closed down…sad….at least I was able to capture it while I could. HDR and LucisArt used in processing John
I love 58 Chevy’s…one of my favorite cars. An old shot that I was able to salvage because of my editing skills improving. Needless to say I am happy I was able to! Now generally as a rule of thumb, I would KO the powerlines, but this time I left them in intentionally. Why? Well I started to KO them then went back, after noticing that without them, the telephone pole is just kinda strange and they add a sense of perspective in this shot. Processed with Photoshop, LucisArts, Virtual Photographer, about 7 layers, and custom color retro actions using curves. —-—-—-—-—-- / More of my work can be seen on my website at http://jdebordphoto.com / All artwork is © John De Bord, All Rights Reserved. um…..... just was at a place where the company was good and took this shot. enjoy! its a classic :)
Like waiting for judgement say, there they stood, in all their glory….40s era Fords, Oldsmobile’s, Pontiac’s, Chevy’s….awaiting the rodders touch to be sculptured in lead, and reincarnated into a new life as a hotrod. Sadly, as much as I love this place, it is now forever gone. I did many shoots at Classical Gas in Eaton, Colorado….and now it is just a memory….it is forever closed as the owner has recently passed away. I was lucky enough to have been here as often as I could…preserving it forever with my camera. And while it is an older shot, it seems just like yesterday I was standing there taking this….time stands still…...much as it did for the classic 40s Detroit iron….... Thoughts welcomed, print to come. Processed with PS, DCE HDR, and LucisArt. —-—-—-—-— See more on my website jdebordphoto.com

Taken near Oklahoma City near Route 66, nice evening sun really sparked the colors, and whoever owns this car surely loves it and sufferss from a waxing carpal tunnel

Hammered refers to a kustom that has been chopped (the roof lowered) and this baby sure did! One killer kustom Merc. Processed with LucisArt Thoughts welcomed and check out those nekkid lady spinner hubcaps! :) —-—-—-—-—-- / More of my work can be seen on my website at http://jdebordphoto.com / All artwork is © John De Bord, All Rights Reserved. Grabbed this on my way to work at a recent memorial in remembrance of 9-11.

The once ubiquitous Irish-American New York police officer stands at attention like a lone citadel. The classic Irish cop, right on down to his old-school helmet, drooping mustache, and paunch. / Original work was done in watercolors and gouache on Arches cold-press, late 2006.
This customised car was sighted at the Wintersun festival over the weekend. The background has been faked from photos I took in the middle of Australia. This image of a male Northern Parula was captured in the Atchafalaya NWR during spring migration. They are one of the first warblers to arrive. Their song is one of the easiest to recognize. It is a rising buzzy insect-like trill. If more than one male is around during nesting season, you will be rewarded with this unique sound for some time. A nice gift for those who just bought a new house or apartment
Captured on an Indian Reservation in New Mexico, I have always loved 49-51 Ford Coupe’s…rare, they make one of the best Kustoms ever…and if I coulda found the owner and had a tow truck, I would have towed this all the way back home to Colorado with me! What a scene…...processed in HDR…thoughts welcomed!
Ahhh I have always had a fascination with Shelby AC Cobra’s and this one had me drooling pretty hard to say the least lol Thoughts most welcomed! / —-John
The former world-heavyweight champion boxer John L. Sullivan, depicted in a classic pose, as if etched in stone. Sullivan was a hero to many of his fellow Irish-Americans in the late nineteenth century. He was a fighter in the old days when matches could last more than one-hundred rounds and opponents were allowed to kick, wrestle, and gouge as well as punch. After he retired, the great ‘John L.’ helped instate the modern boxing rules that we have today- including the use of gloves! / The original was completed in watercolor and gouache on Arches cold-press, in 2006.
Lightning retro style.
