This shot was taken in Copacabana in 2006, a little town in the north of Bolivia, situated on the bank of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world at 3800 mts. / There was a big celebration in town that day and so much to see and discover. But I was so tired that I decided to sit down and rest for a while when those two men sat just in front of me. I took so many pictures of them but this one is my favorite. Click /

Can’t remember what type – walked into the artshop and ran my fingers over the surface until I found one I liked, with the gsm to match. The picture won the Jean Eales Memorial Prize, three firsts in various divisions and best in show. The four alpacas are from my friends farm and are as individualistic as the picture portrays. The big black one at the front, Zack, has covered me with green slime on more than one occasion! Close up of an African Zebra taken at Buenos Aires Zoo. Probably one of the most interactive and best kept zoos I have ever visited. Animals are looked after quite well, and are being raised in captivity to save them from extinction. The zoo allows a percentage of their profits for conservation of the Argentinian wildlife. While I’m not sure I agree with animals being caged for any reason, it is nice to know that this zoo is here for many reasons, including conservation. Cropped original image and increased the contrast and brightness slightly. Many thanks to Shelly Heibert for creative help with the title for this one!
