We’ve already had the Dos Amigos – and by popular request, here are the Cuatro Amigos, this time four Vicuñas in the high altitude of the Altiplano in northern Chile. I didn’t line them up like this for the shot – they obviously are natural models, and yes, the sky really was very blue! ;o)

Paraguay I was fascinated by the afternoon light shining on this font while sitting in my daughter’s garden in Paraguay. / The warm light and natural colours had a relaxing effect on me. There is almost in every house a font in the garden / about 20-25 m deep the water is drinkable but caution is appropriate (filter or cooking) straight from camera….As Is / in Latin America 8. Santiago, capital city of Chile. This is the view from the top of the look out at St Lucia Park. The building that leads the climb to the top is seen in World Forgotten. There is nothing like being in a city and being able to see snow capped mountain tops in the near distance. (45 bus ride takes you to the Andes Mountains). As incredible a place as Santiago is, the city has unfortunately been built in a valley, which has trapped the smog and pollution over the years. The view of the Andes, as seen here, is slowly being obliterated by the smokey sky. After speaking with a few locals, they are predicting only 10 – 20 years until the view is faded away to smog totally. It will be a sad day indeed, when the Andes can’t be seen at such a short distance.
