  • I found this sign outside of a Baptist church in Granville, Ohio. In trying to come up with a description for this image I find myself in tears, grieving unlike any other time I’ve thought about the war. I am grateful to the makers of this sign for not forgetting the pain and suffering of the Iraqi people. I am incredibly sad over the loss of our men and women, because they died thinking they were protecting me. Any proceeds of this image will be donated to the American Friends Service Committee, a Quaker-based peace organization. Visit them at www.afsc.org.

  • This image is part of Erin’s challange here / This is one of my favorite images because it brings back fond memories of my childhood. / When I grew up, I lived in a nice neighborhood, mostly composed of middle to upper middle class families. Just before my teen years, my family bought a farm. From that day forward, we were out on the farm hoeing blue grass, driving either our large tractor (case) or the smaller Ford, driving combine and driving truck. I could barely reach the pedals on most of the equipment (I had to sit way forward in the seat to drive the trucks). / This old Ford tractor was one I spent hundreds of hours on. Discing, plowing, mowing and cultivating among other things. I used to come back from the fields looking like one big dust ball. / That is why this image is so important to me. It helps relive some of my best (and worst) childhood memories.

  • This Ford tractor is over 30 years old and still is a real work horse.

  • A quechua (inca) ceremony for peace, conducted on sacred ground at Pikillacta, the location of extensive ruins from the Wari culture. Pikillacta is located in the Valle Sur, about an hour from Cusco in the Peruvian Andes. The feather is from a sacred American owl, the plants traditional medicine of the area. All are now planted in the sacred soil overlooking this site for the future. / / ... one of twelve images featured in the America del Sur – 2009 Calendar, which can be viewed here / / Fifty per cent of artist proceeds from internet sales of cards and prints from this image will be donated by the artist to the Medical Association for Prevention of War to support their efforts in working towards a future free from armed conflict. / This Image is dedicated to the memory of my oldest friend, Jacalyne Sherlock who died on 7 November 2008 when the light plane she traveling in crashed near Bathurst (Australia) killing all on board. Jac was a health worker who spent much of her adult life in Canada, where the feather shown was given to me. She was a deeply spiritual person, unstoppably full of life. May she rest in peace and may her dreams live on in the hearts and minds of those who knew her well. / / / /

  • This painting was created with interior house paint on canvas / H26” x W50” / Black Matte Gallery Frame / 2007 / Original – 1800.00 / ON SALE NOW! 1000.00 “Faceless,” is dedicated to all the woman and girls who suffer injustices all over the world, and remain faceless to world. Although I created this image in 2007, and had titled it “Girls,” I didn’t fully realize what it meant until just this week. In the news, a husband kills his wife, by placing a plastic bag over her head, hangs her, and flees with the three children after countless please for help to local authorities. A father is convicted of keeping his daughter locked up as a sex slave for 24 years. Daughter now 42. Many females are enslaved, murdered, raped, tortured all over the world, and many more will remain faceless to us. Stop, think, and listen.

  • I was initially going to use a roadmap from a part of Israel…but then I figured it would better to use Texas! Just not sure why? hmm…hehe Road map for peace The “road map” for peace is a plan to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict proposed by a “quartet” of international entities: the United States, the European Union, Russia, and the United Nations. The principles of the plan were first outlined by U.S. President George W. Bush in a speech on June 24, 2002, in which he called for an independent Palestinian state living side by side with Israel in peace: “The Roadmap represents a starting point toward achieving the vision of two states, a secure State of Israel and a viable, peaceful, democratic Palestine. It is the framework for progress towards lasting peace and security in the Middle East…” Definition from Wikipedia I never was any good at folding maps back up… / Now there is only 999 more cranes to make…till world peace!

  • Wild deer in Yosemite National Park – USA I spent ages with a group of these deer. Walked slowly to approach, after approx 15 mins i was surrounded by them, couldn’t shoot as they were too close, one just 10cm away, so we just hung out together until the cold drove me inside. Was a beautiful experience. They have the most gorgeous eyes :)) I loved every minute in Yosemite. • Lost in Utah would have been a more apt title after the GPS affectionately known as “Dorothy” lead me to a graveyard instead of a lake lol. I discovered some gorgeous countryside along route. There is nothing better than getting lost :))

  • I grew so tired seeing our young braves die / For change would come / God had showed me the vision / Of the People walking among the white men / With words of faith and growing stronger / The food was disapering from our lodge / And tree was becoming tall with funny openings / And the white walked sided by sided with us. / We became brothers / but not before much blood shead. / They killed our animal brothers for there skin.. / Where we only took in our need only. / But we Thank our brother for the food and his skin. / Where white men took with out thought or care. / But Then The great Sirit of God told / That we both had much to learn. / So we smoked the peace pipe / and offered the peace quilt. / To be fenced in like cattle lead to the slater. / And we waiting on the Day we became / Brothers as God saied we would. / But then it could be when the / Great spirit comes to take us home. / So we learn to forgive and we learn Gods mercy. / We learn that some will fall by the way sided / Because of the flaws of the fleash. / Both The white man and my People / Learn God is in controll / Not man as we was tolded. / And a Sadness filled my Spirit / For I knew it would take time. / For God saied wait on me… / This brought a peace to my spirit. / For God see us all as the same. /
