This old barn is in Spanish Fork, Utah. The little lady that owns it, Carol, is 86 years old and she’s a real firecracker! She is the one who grows the Datura plant in her yard (Jimson Weed), and she sports a tattoo on her right ankle:) I enjoyed visiting with her so much, we spent about an hour just talking about her barn, the people in the town, and the Police, who want to take away her Datura!:)

...along a freshwater lake “Last Mountain Lake” a.k.a. “Long Lake”, south central Saskatchewan, Canada. 3 km wide / 93 km long Has North America’s oldest bird sanctuary at the north end of the lake established in the 1800’s, and many beach resorts up and down both sides of the lake. It varies from about 8-10 feet deep at either end, to 100 ft deep at the deepest part, across from Rowan’s Ravine Provincial Park. In the late 1800’s and early 1900’s a steamboat ran goods, then later was a party barge, from Valeport to almost the very north end of the lake and back.

The original is a 24” x 28” acrylic painting on stretched canvas. It was painted in 2001 and the ‘guarded’ concept and issues of integrity were ‘in the air’ in the American culture. This card presentation is an experiment in formatting. I’m now so adicted to this bubble stuff that my sleep patterns have changed and sleep deprivation is becoming the norm. A-oh!
