  • New Orleans, The French Quarter.

  • This shot was taken in Copacabana in 2006, a little town in the north of Bolivia, situated on the bank of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world at 3800 mts. / There was a big celebration in town that day and so much to see and discover. But I was so tired that I decided to sit down and rest for a while when those two men sat just in front of me. I took so many pictures of them but this one is my favorite. Click /

  • ORIGINAL FOR SALE $1399 plus P&H Pen and Ink on smooth surfaced paper. Can’t remember what type – walked into the artshop and ran my fingers over the surface until I found one I liked, with the gsm to match. The picture won the Jean Eales Memorial Prize, three firsts in various divisions and best in show. The four alpacas are from my friends farm and are as individualistic as the picture portrays. The big black one at the front, Zack, has covered me with green slime on more than one occasion! They are truly extraordinary animals and I just love their cheeky, inquisitive natures:) Enjoy:) / Bright Blessings, / Marg The original framed artwork, which won the Jean Eales Memorial Award, First in Show, First in Section, First Overall in Show, is for sale. • This was an interpretation of the lyrics to the 1920’s Louis Armstrong song, Black and Blue. Essentially it is about racism and division. The little girl is looking at what she will probably never obtain. / It is a mixture of watercolour, ink, pen and collage.

  • Barack Obama – Change for America, for the World, for All of Us – The Audacity of Hope On November 4, 2008, Barack Obama defeated John McCain and became the first African American to be elected President of the United States. In his victory speech, delivered before a crowd of hundreds of thousands of his supporters in Grant Park in Chicago, Illonois, Obama proclaimed that “change has come to America.” Born in Hawaii, Obama will be the first U.S. President born outside the contiguous United States. He also will be fifth youngest President at the date of accession and the second since Lincoln whose primary political base is Illinois. This portrait illustrates and epitomizes the audacity of hope. President Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America on January 20, 2009. Selected information courtesy of Wikipedia. • Close up of an African Zebra taken at Buenos Aires Zoo. Probably one of the most interactive and best kept zoos I have ever visited. Animals are looked after quite well, and are being raised in captivity to save them from extinction. The zoo allows a percentage of their profits for conservation of the Argentinian wildlife. While I’m not sure I agree with animals being caged for any reason, it is nice to know that this zoo is here for many reasons, including conservation. Cropped original image and increased the contrast and brightness slightly. Many thanks to Shelly Heibert for creative help with the title for this one! • This is my rather draconic take on the Mesoamerican deity of Quetzalcoatl, who is described as a “feathered serpent.” Mixed media on watercolor paper. 11×15”.

  • He’s the magnifico luchador..

  • I found the intial design for ‘She’s A Lady’ before I turned it into the hot and sexy Tom Jones lady. So I decided to do a repaint. Here is my version of ‘Eva’, from one of my favorite musicals and then movie, ‘Evita’. I didn’t use the song one always thinks of from this musical, ‘Don’t Cry For Me Argentina’. This is my favorite song ‘You Must Love Me’. Below is the memorable clip from the movie. You Must Love Me For that bright flash of color or as a conversation piece in your decor use a small ‘Mounted Print’ on a plate easel, chic. Framed Print

  • BEST VIEWED LARGE. :) One in my musical themed series I’ve been working on this past week. Inspired by the music in my life. I grew up in a musical family and get-togethers and/or holidays were often spent singing in the living room with various family members playing instruments. I’m sure the neighbors enjoyed it as well. :) Here’s how it looks matted & framed: / Also available printed on a T-shirt! What a great gift for the jazz fan! :)
